Im currently using it on my Windows Vista Home Premium X32 and it's running fine, it isn't as light as Avast! and Avira though

well for Avast! 5 Free it's fully fledged as well as Panda Cloud AV Free
Avast! 5 Pro you get the sandbox. Avast! 5 Internet Security you get extra feature like sandbox and firewall. Panda Cloud AV Pro you get to unlock the behavorial analysis and automatic USB Vaccination. Avira would be the one lacking of components like web guard and ProActiv(Behavior Analysis) which is only paid version. So normally I install Avast! 5 Free for my friends |

Yes it is bro, just make sure you have on-demand scanner like MBAM and SuperAntiSpyware for your computer, they come in handy when any realtime Antivirus/IS missed something
