What type of wood would be suitable to mount a 50 - 60 inch tv ?

if is 50 - 60inch LCD is not too heavy but if you plan for plasma TV then the weight will be much more. Currently I wall mount my 50 inch Plasma on plywoord. No problem in supporting the weight. It depend on how the wood is install.
