compact powder is simply a foundation that has been compressed into a cake. it's easier for ppl who want to take it out with them instead of a liquid. compact powder is of course drier in texture and if you have dry skin, liquid works better for you than compact.
my trusted brand is HABA. sorry, haven't used any of the above brands mentioned by you. so, i can't tell. currently i am using HABA's foundation and am loving it. |

I m using the Za 2 way cake...i love it. and my skin wont b dry out and it stays quite a long time on my face. It is nt heavy at all..

depend on your skin type
dry - liquid foundation oily - compact powder my skin is kinda dry, am using Revlon Photoready/Nars. love them |

If you are light skin, you probably do well for the over the counter.
I am tanned so I always had a hard time with foundation. I found the best shade for me which is NC42 for MAC but its hard to find similar shade in the rest of the drugstore makeup line. But often I use normal baby talcum over the foundation. and never ever use Maybelline, it often have mineral oil in it. And I always have severe zits when I use it. |
