i got overheat problem on my 1999 ej8 MF816 local engine.
everything cheap already change..
so last option is top overhaul..
any recomanded shop in penang/kulim area?
perhaps shop that handle many honda/vtec engine.. so later they can tune it well..
how bout the price huh?

Gt mechanic here i think able to solve ur problems but u need to drop by and ask for his opinion 1st..

Being o/haul my auto 4g91 g/box, replace the tappet..and so on from him..car still goes ok till nw..

MF816 is B16A izit ? Malaysian Civic engine code ..

Not B16A, it is the original engine -> D16Y SOHC 1.6L

bro.. the worst part overhaulin honda because of overheating engine u must get ur block down too.. otherwise the problem will be coming back...

u need to skim the block too... when u skim the block.. u need to skim ur piston too...otherwise piston will be came out from the block hitting ur engine head..
reason why..?
- most of honda use aluminium block.. same material with head.. can 'warp'.. or mostly use term for this disease.. is 'bengkok' ....cos other car maker normally use cast iron...

There's 1 Vtec expert near Permatang Pauh beside the highway. Another is at Batu Maung behind LSS shop.

No idea on price, but a fren of mine running on B18 shared his homework n usually visits d 1 on d island.

nope.. it shud be known as D16Y.. coz B series is for twincam.. mione one is singlecam..
