personally i believe you can get far better quality products than lebensstil. google throws this info (albeit only one comment):

I bought Lebensstil ceramic hob like VEES Delicooker and also bought Lebensstil hob...the after sales service like shit. The cooker hob are so poor, im so regret getting this brand prd!!

http://alamsanctuary.77forum.com/home-impr...liances-t55.htm

in my opinion, i'd rather go for quality european or japanese product. so i sort of blow the same tune.

Actually quite normal to have defects thatz y they have customer service. Even Mercedes has defects. However, a reliable brand will have lesser problem and most important is the customer service mus b good

it's not me - its the only comment i found through google. but on a serious note: pensonic is not exactly known for quality. i have stopped buyingt heir junk years ago cause whatever they sold to me turned out to be crap. putting a decent design and a funny name around their stuff doesnt make it better imho.

i have great experience with products from bosch, electrolux, fagor, miele and some other brands. with hobs, hoods, dishwashers and ovens i am very happy with fagor, miele and bosch. i am using them all in my current kitchen. had an issue with a bosch fridge before, called the service and had a next day fix. they offered same day but it was late and i just moved the stuff to the spare freezer instead. service staff was fast and efficient and no fuss on the warranty either (was under extended 5 yrs warranty).

for kitchen equipment i personally think you have to spend a certain amount to get a product that can last. its just not possible to say produce a good dishwasher for 1000 RM (just an example, dont pin me - i dont even know if lebensstil makes dishwashers). if i have a choice between pensonic (or a badged pensonic) and (almost any) other (non-chinese besides heier) brand i'd probably take the other brand.

oh i actually didnt take notice of the distributor, but somehow i think those hood, hob and oven come from the same OEM manufacturer.
The vendor showed me some products of electrolux, elba and lebensstil are actually made of the same parts ..under the "skin".
anyway, i took lebenstil hob coz its the only design which comes with sturdy cast iron & undermount burner. i didnt like those thin wire types, even expensive brands like teka and bosch have those.

guess i went for form ....

Last time when I scout for cooker hood and hob I also nearly bough this lebensstil ..
the hob's flame look so nice ... and I don't get to the other brand's flame ...
then the sales guy told me it's from germany/or-what-so-ever .. really about to paid deposit then I decided to go home google for it reputation ...
and I whois their domain .... registered under PENSONIC MALAYSIA .....
end up not buying from them ... not because it's buatan malaysia ..but I feel somehow offended by not tellin' the truth la...
buatan malaysia said local made la ... the flame looks so nice sure I'll buy 1 ..but tipu me .. for this simple reason I dun want to buy

then? I bough fotile from 1 of the forumer here lor biggrin.gif
google abit fotile seem got some reputation + good price-performance

Lebensstil Kollektion is not made by Pensonic. Pensonic is just the sole distributor in Malaysia who also distributes other international brands including Princess, General Electric and Gaggia. Kollektion Distribution Sdn Bhd, a member of Pensonic Holdings Berhad, established since 2002 has now become the foreword in quality home kitchen appliances. Once in Msia, they have to add Sdn Bhd for the company, right smile.gif

Lebensstil Kollektion simply means lifestyle collection in German. Lebensstil Kollektion has been conferred The Honourable Star Awards for its outstanding range of kitchen appliances. Other awards include New Innovative Design, Design Excellence, Consumer’s Choice and Editor’s Choice from various publications and professional bodies, further attest to our brand’s philosophy and design excellence.

U guys can check it out at http://www.kollektion.com.my

I myself am looking for hob, hood and oven. M still searching, that's how I come across this discussion rolleyes.gif

ho ho very true indeed. Almost everything is made in china nowadays, including the famous apple products. Im working in a manufacturing line, so what i can say is that it doesnt matter where the factory is...whats important is the quality control.

i like lebenstill's design as well, and im pretty sure performance wise its comparable with others. only thing that bothers me is their after sales service...dunno the support good or not LOL

Yes, it is true that most of the stuff are made in China and the important thing is that as long as QC is good, buying China made stuff is no issue. That said, I decided to get Fujioh/Fujihome partly because they are made in Japan (partly because their hood is quite good if not the best).

Not all China stuff are bad. Many branded items like grohe are made in china bt the quality is still good.

However, how do we noe what is good and what is bad? We go for reliable brands and feedbacks from customers.

Btw, i recently read that Fujioh has oil leaking issue, Just bcareful and ask Fujioh's salesman for more details, bt so far only heard one case only. Not every1 have this problem i guess.

My 2 months old Fujioh hood has oil dripping at the side. Called Fujioh service centre and they came to check yesterday. The thing is, they say the oil dripping is normal. Nothing wrong with the hood. Just have to live with it. How can this be? We paid RM6k for that hood!

i bought cheaper fujioh hood after using more than half year never encountered oil dripping problem. perhaps u have to ask them give u an explanation on this problem

Yes, even BMW fails some times but I am not saying Fujioh is BMW equivalent. Gaggenau is but I am sure even Gaggenau fails sometimes!

I believe there's never a product that doesn't fail...but i believe that there should be a good after sales service to back it up.

yeah, there is no product without defects, even fotile has defects that is why a good after sales service is very important.

Actually I read the comments. The service person may be right as Fujioh hood actually channel the oil collected via the side to the collector. So it depends on what the original poster meant oil dripping on the side. Some times it is the user issue.

today, I just bought Lebensstil oven, the price is good.
I was told by the sale person that lebensstil parts are import from Germany and assembly locally, that why they can offer competitive price. becoz local labor is cheaper then germany.
same example as Honda city parts are imported and assembly in melaka.

Initially I was only considering Fujioh hood for its effectiveness but at RM6k+ I think it is ridiculously overpriced for what is basically a suction fan! Lebensstil is a strong contender for my money esp when it cost less than a third of Fujioh, has a powerful suction fan dan good design. Still doing my research but expensive Fujioh is no more a consideration.

you obviously did not know how the fujioh perform compare to the rest of the hood out there. there is a reason for the steep price. its the matter you willing to pay for that kind of performance hood vs good looks.

I may know few fan suppliers, stainless steel work contractors and ACMV contractors which may able to setup a system better than Fujioh in term of "suction power", aesthetically more pleasant and tailor made to suit the site with the similar price. cool2.gif

To me, it is just another over rated product... I seen fujioh hoods personally and I really don't think they can be blended into current modern home concept!

Mind to share how much is your set?
I would like to buy the LKCH-9104GBF (hood) + LKGH-8103G (hob) + LKBO-1007CT (oven) = RM4350

I have not yet purchase because people telling me lebensstil is actually Malaysia brand and some comments the after sale service very bad.
Haiz.... headache

Please share yours... smile.gif

oh i actually didnt take notice of the distributor, but somehow i think those hood, hob and oven come from the same OEM manufacturer.

Hi Kikco,

I'm planning to buy lebensstil hob, hood & oven. How's yours? 2010 till not, still good?
Any problem with the product?

Hi guys, I make a deposit to purchase lebenssil hob and hood few weeks back. Like most of you, I'm impressed by the flame, the suction power and the glass top and also the sales agent at the fair is quite convincing. But after reading some of the comment, i'm feel abit doubtful on whether should i just lose the deposit and get another brand. So if you been using lebenssil hob and hood, would appreciate if you can give some comment about their product and sales service. Thank you.

honestly after purchasing...my wife start cooking...
hob having problem....after sales service is very good seriously...after you make the report...the company will call u for appointment .....i have no problem with sales and service...
just i'm not lucky to have perfect goods..

hob - the fire nozzle have no hole, so the fire wont start up like normal.....after change, too much yellow fire. this week will settle for me.
oven - there is two button that can rotate, the left one is always stuck when you press...

overall, i not sure is either me bad luck or all the product have the same problem.
anyway, the sales and service is very fast......just the product.... cry.gif

Rm 550 is a lot of money. Seriously i think you don't need to waste the money. With that deposit you can change to other brand. Maybe I'm unlucky to have the problem.

There will be vent for air to flow in at the hob.Is the air vent blocked or partially blocked?Mine have air vent behind facing the wall and the manual said it should not be blocked.Try to check for the air vent.

Lousy customer support and design problem. Example, The exhaust at the wall and exhaust on top of the hood different size. The flexible hose given same size. How to fix? Exhaust outlet on top of hood have flap which prevent anything outside enter.Something like 1 way valve but the technician went want to install say this one must be removed if not difficult if jam or will make noise when closing.Waste RM8k for the professional edition.

I am actually use more on cooking.

LKRC-8802BMG

Went to see a few brands, Delonghi, SMEG, Tuscani, Lebensstil, Electrolux, etc....(SMEG is too expensive)

I want the range cooker with 5kw fire on the left. ( meaning I want to place my wok on the left) which I see in Delonghi and Lebensstil.

Delonghi - fully import from Italy, has fish burner. But afraid after sales service not that good as I am in Penang.

Lebensstil - oven has more features. Can place wok on the left and in the middle.

Hard to choose.

Any recommendations for a reliable one ?

Good morning..

As I know there's no range cooker with 5kw burner. Better double confirm...

If more on oven can go for Elba EPRC-9850 SS 5burner centre is fish burner like delonghi.got drawer and 2 fan inside.8 function..

Have a nice day

Discovered that Lebensstil is a homegrown brand with its trademark registered in Germany owned by Pensonic.

They collaborate with Germans for the design and are locally assembled ... So, it is actually a Malaysian brand and to say otherwise is rather misleading of them.

Fyi ... Go to unibrander.com and search Lebensstill

Dont buy lebensstil. I owned one. The qulity of the tampered glass gas hob is owesome. But after a year one (out of 3) not functioning well. I hd called gas competent to check, they found that there was a crack at one of the burner. B4 that i tried to reach pensonic service centre, but unable to speak with them (after sales service team). At least 10 times i called them but failed. Really frustrated with thier after sales service.
