it is not really weak, just volume not loud only purposely on battery saving one. if it give full signal strengh with max sound, your n8 will turn off within 1 hour.

does FM transmition loudness have anything to do with the power usage?? isn't it only related to the way how it modulated?? shocking.gif
i think only the transmition power are direct related to energy usage but not the modulation eh??? sweat.gif

that's is related to raw FM transmition power... nothing to do with loudness... doh.gif
u can have a strong FM transmitter to transmit up to a few km but still if the loudness modulation is soft u STILL getting a soft audio signal...
so my question to sifu paladin is: is there any relation between increase loudness in modulation will drain more power usage or not with same FM transmition power remain??... hmm.gif

so here another weird question... do u think loudness will affected by transmition power??? if u play with fm transmition before u will know i can make a tiny fm transmitter where only transmit within a feet radius but the audio signal within are still in max loudness... so if i place it within a feet to the radio it will still play as loud as it can but if i move a way the radio receive no signal at all... so from here u can see my actual fm signal are weak but the content (audio signal) are strong... so do u still think it have relation between this 2 factors?? unsure.gif

bro... that's bcoz it's a band different lah... highier freq band require highier power...
get back to the original question... the fm using same freq range and mostly normal fm transmition modulate 15Hz~15kHz signal so nothing much can be talk here as if the nokia fm transmitter sound low pitch compare with original sound it's understandable as highier pitch will need highier freq which will direct increase the power usage (same story here as the 3g band require highier power) but still what I dont understand is what the loudness have to do with extra power usage?? hmm.gif

GOOD STEREO = near or can match the local FM station like FlyFM/RedFM (where i think FlyFM have the best audio quality in Penang and RedFM next)...
