what cd player or car u pairing it with? dont tell me perodua viva or kenari.. those stock player original quality is bad.. how you want n8 to do? like a parking lot only can fit 1 5series bmw, you want park your lorry there. your space dont support what u expect it can be done?

it is not really weak, just volume not loud only purposely on battery saving one. if it give full signal strengh with max sound, your n8 will turn off within 1 hour.

this is not what i mean. simple example, if you supply not enough current for your modulator, thus your signal will be very weak too and your sound quality will have more noise.

same like audio system method, you want amplify the signal stronger, you dont need amplifier..?
once you amplify it, will consumes more current.

of course its not connected to the speaker but it sent signals to your player. like your device, why your 3G mode will consume higher current than GSM mode.

bro... that's bcoz it's a band different lah... highier freq band require highier power...
get back to the original question... the fm using same freq range and mostly normal fm transmition modulate 15Hz~15kHz signal so nothing much can be talk here as if the nokia fm transmitter sound low pitch compare with original sound it's understandable as highier pitch will need highier freq which will direct increase the power usage (same story here as the 3g band require highier power) but still what I dont understand is what the loudness have to do with extra power usage??  hmm.gif

if u want a clear and good explanation, you better use a spectrum analyzer see the waveform and use oscilloscope to capture in details. simply use your fm modulator will get u the answer. im not good in explain. i only do testing. not manager..

not control the loudness but its about signal.
one more easy way to make u understand, you try use your fm modulator and n8 to compare. you will see fm modulator sound is louder compare to n8.
then you should know why both also using fm transmit but fm modulator is louder.

If you still want to know more about RF, then you should find expert in google. im not that level..
