as 4 good media player,i prefer itunes...but for performance,stick winamp...juz my 2 cents...

if u want best media player...just stick foobar2000....its less memory usage n simple.... but now,i using winamp...still my best player...

there are many other audio player that way better than those two.. personally i use AIMP2 .. its ui is similar to winamp, also can use winamp plugins.. use less ram than winamp, with many beautiful skin.. try it

i prefer winamp. iTunes has a few unnecessary apple start-up programs.

comparing itunes n winamp, of course winamp uses less RAM,
but i prefer itunes.

itunes works best in mac.. but in windows it lags like hell.. not to mention how ram hogging it is in windows..
winamp turn to be a bloatware, and it also lag.. not smooth like in it early days.. that why i said:

its depend on ur running program....

if u run many program,its maybe get lagging...

there is no BESTEST player....everything hav it pros and con.

TS can try VLC player

if you have nothing to do with Apple (ALAC, aac, Ipod, Ipad, QuickTime, MacBook etc.) stay away from ITunes, it is not worth all the hassle and time. Furthermore, ITunes now is stray too far from it original goal as media player. It is now more like a shopping catalog.

VLC has a playlist? Wasnt VLC is like MPC?

btw, for now winamp still owned
im using it for many years now..
jet audio also not bad.
vlc IMHO only good for mkv movies and got volume 50% boost from normal. thw control suck thou~.

ya iTunes doesnt look like a media player to me, more like poisoning u to buy songs from them but hell, i know most of u listen to mp3s

iTunes have more friendly user interface, and seems to have a pretty good equaliser. but uses more ram.

while winamp offers pretty good quality, less ram but looks sucky compared to itunes.

so..iTunes for me.

winamp for use, friendly user, less resource consume.

iTunes for current trend. If you have an iPod, it's even better.

Let me rephrase your sentence. You have to have iTunes if you have an iPod.

IMO, Winamp has a better interface with the right skin.

but if normal listen music... i prefer TT player... can auto download lyrics and the lyrics synchronized with the song also...

I'm using winamp quite long about 5 years. Than switch to itunes. Why? Regularly updating my music form my iphone & ipod.

winamp all the way, itunes is too 'bulky' imo

winamp UI is sucks, the reason why i use it is just because of it enhancer plug in...i love how it can make my mp3's file sounded like wav.

Still a loyal fan of Winamp and using it since 0.92 in 1997.

Still the best and awesome plugin such as 3D dancing cans and recently I use LCD smartie plugin to work with my LCD module.

Winamp is light and multipurpose.


However, I will definitely use iTunes when using Mac (because winamp unsupported)
