This phone is trying to contend with Wildfire. If they lower down the price by another 100 this would be the best mid range budget Android phone. Adreno205 was used in DHD and DZ right?

Yep. I'm not wrong. I think this can rival the older Nexus One in performance. Another factor to why should i get it. But the 800mhz is putting me off. DHD is 1ghz and DZ is 800 mhz . They share quite similar specs but this is much cheaper. I don't quite trust Acer though. DZ will be a better choice for the additional QWERTY keyboard and the design.

Added on November 27, 2010, 8:51 pmForgot to add this on. Is it gonna use the new generation of Snapdragon processors? Thats what DZ and DHD is using. If it is i'm sure the Acer's capability won't be far from DZ.

True. The design is quite similar. But the window 7 one looks a lot more bulkier and it looks uglier compared to this one. Maybe they ran out of designs? But its quite a nice design anyway.

I don't think they would wait for the Liquid-E series to clear off first. The sales figure are quite bad, they might actually cut off entirely the Liquid-E series then bring in the Liquid Metal into the market. Hot stuff always sells don't they?

Yep! Official HTC announced too that the new gen of Qualcomm is superior in terms of performance compared to the older gen. The 800mhz DHZ performs even better than the Nexus One. But the same cannot be said for the Liquid Metal in terms of compatibility and build quality.

Acer and HTC are both Taiwan brand but Acer notebooks tend to have a lot more complains about their notebooks. Its actually up to personal preferences and also, the more notebooks sold = the more defects that are reported. Its just luck whether you get a unit without any problems or not.

From what i've heard, the difference between Froyo and Gingerbread lies in the UI. And there is a tutorial for beginners now. I guess they wanna open up a new market for those who are not used to touchscreen phones or are slow at learning to use it. I've encountered a few cases where a few of these peoples sold of their iPhone/HTC/Samsung because they couldn't learn to use it.

It is the same processor as the DZ. But sadly single-core era might be over soon and dual core might come in.
