something we could have this season..still not sure why the lad was never really given a chance in the first team by SAF despite impressive performances at Cologne

If Hargo's situation doesnt improve for the next few months, then the I reckon the best decision is to let him go..It's heartbreaking for me to see his career had to be like this, and a quality player some more..without a doubt the best english player in wc 2006 some might remember..and had also done well for us, his stunning free kick against arsenal was a particular highlight

no no someone who studied Man Utd sejarah here said Butt wanted new challenge instead of more first team action rolleyes.gif laugh.gif

Enough is enough mate, there's no need to quote others in a sarcasm tone, over and over again, when the disagreement has already long gone. Keep on bringing up that issue, it's very annoying and if another banter starts, it's just very displeasing to other MUST members.

personally don't think there is a must to give the no7 to good or great players only..even Ronaldo wasn't known by a lot when he joined the club..the number doesnt set the standards for a player, the player sets his own standards

Ronaldo wasnt known by a lot doesnt mean he wasn't good. in fact he was, do you know all the players asked SAF to buy him when they played against him in 2003? either he is already good, or his potential is for all of them to see.

The number doesnt set the standard, but dont you think that number itself is magical and historic? so many legends of United wear that number. Yes, maybe you dont have to start good to wear that number. but that player must be able to continue that tradition if u get what i mean. United's no7 is always something, for whatever reason will give the wearer an extra edge. Even Owen can claim legendhood in MU's folklore with the goal against City in the 4-3 win last season.

Imagine if Manucho were given the 7 laugh.gif
*
that's exactly my point, which is why I don't get your logic of "not up to the standard yet"..I mean, how on earth do we determine whether a player is good enough or not to don that kit with 7?(dont take that too far with Manucho or Dong or Djemba djemba etc laugh.gif)My point with Ronnie is the same, and no one knew or even think he can become the man he is now back then regardless of him being good or not.. There is no specific threshold for that, if you get what I mean

unless SAF wants to vacant it, then bring in some youngsters to play..the best of the lot for a few years gets to wear it...but that whole thing is unlikely to happen

erm, dont thk so..iirc his intentions was never to manage Newcastle permanently..the option thing was just speculation when he just got the job and media thinks he will do well and continue, but Newcastle still falter..the option thing applies to Hughton where he did well as a caretaker when they literally walkover the championship(maybe a bit exaggerating tongue.gif) and was offered permanent post until recently

would LOVE IT if Maradona take over rclxm9.gif

arsenal were in pretty much the same position this time around last season wasn't it? and only in the latter part of the season they keep dropping points thanks to almunia/fabianski... so they were always considered genuine title contenders

He said he will play his strongest side though. I'm certainly hoping for that, but I wont be surprised if he puts a couple of youngsters in early as subs for key players like Rooney, Berba, Nani or Scholes when the scoreline favours us.. Top spot is very very important let us not take that away..

apart from the debt, the Glazer's management is actually quite good:

-they don't interfere with the club's original structure and manager's work (this is a BIG plus compare to Chelsea, Real)
-their global commercial campaign for the club had gone really well so far, attracting loads of sponsor
*
but they are sucking hundreds of millions from the club just to pay off some their debts in the US sad.gif
