I think this is better. because the free version has the really annoying r sign when playing video. The full version i dont know.

Somebody should check on the uploaded firmware. I think it didint upload very well.

Go to setting--> search. There you can clear history (shorcut) and manage google search so it does not remember your search (different firmware different setting)

Sorry guys, but i have to differ. If you really want to do document editing, I would not suggest G5, because the screen is to small, you'll have trouble in spreadsheet etc. But if you want to make quick small editing, to your document, than it is ok. If you want to use google.doc, you have to flash your phone to foroyo, using google.doc in eclair (firmware that u get when u buy galaxy 5) is practically useless, too much bug, I've tried.

Thought another big factor on how you document editing will turn out, depend on what apps you are going to use. No reliable document editing is pre-install in the phone. So you have download the apps, for me the only reliable one is "Note everything" apps, but this app only can edit notes.

Conclusion: Galaxy 5 is not the phone for heavy document editing and sync

You should turn of auto connect to internet, under network setting, Or your phone will be a credit vempire, sucking out all your credit with you knowing. Haha i been there.

Have you install dropbox apps in your G5, you can also can download the program and install it at your pc.

Waa I so thankful for buying a G5. Really great community here. Look at our Dropbox, it haven't been a day yet. But so many file already there.

The google ebook reader apps is not bad actually. pretty good.

Have been playing with google ebook reader. Still finding if we can download book to sd.card. If cannot, then i think google reader is pretty much useless. Cant always have internet connection

Driving around subang jaya today, using google map for direction. Waa so unpractical in real life use. Got to get papago from ultramen soon.

I know the download to sd card setting. But seem cant to find it where the apps put the downloaded books.

I'm with you, even many of the more expensive phone such Xperia only got eclair, they can't upgrade to froyo. We are so blessed to have cheap phone that have the compatibly to use froyo.

Been using tethering since yesterday. Celcom 3g is unrealable, many times you event open fb cause the conection is too slow. only this morning i got a steady 50 Kb/s connection. Look like i will not potong streamyx anytime soon,( really hate streamyx ). Now I'm downloading by teathering conection, to see if connection got that annoying tiba-tiba disconnected.

In short I'm satisfied with the froyo tethering, seems to do it's job properly.

Can, I'm using froyo right now. Thought is still not recommended, the firmware is not stable and contain many bugs in it.

Well if you live in mexico then it is a official release.
We kinda took that mexico version and install it on our phone, we here at android call it "flashing"
There some guide here how to do it, is really easily actully even if you are a newbie. You just have to follow it step by step.

It's the first known froyo version for galaxy 5, so you might expect bug here and there. Is not really advisable to you to flash into this version if
you are not familiar with Android.

besure to PM ultramen to get a pass to our galaxy dropbox server. Got tones of fun stuff there.

BY the way guys, have you seen the new motorola gingerbread tablet. Is amazing!!
Really hope it release soon cause i literary planing to buy a tablet.
