Try DL GPS test and use it to test the GPS lock. I tried the setting given, work like a charm.

Secondly, if you try to test the GPS using Google map, then Wireless must be "ON". Google Map used the wireless to DL the map and Satelite image, if not wireless, it will refuse to work.

Try the gps at workplace wit new confi but nothing special. The locking still take time around 1~2min..

Yup...but he point is to get unassisted gps to lock coz papago dont use agps. I tried gps test too....no lock

Do this


Press *#*#1472365#*#*. This will bring to GPS setting.
Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Address -> Server Type: 1x MPC
Settings -> Parameter Settings -> Position mode: option3
Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Session Operation: Standalone
Settings -> Fix Request Settings -> Server Option: Local
gpsOne XTRA -> Xtra Enable: Enable

and on your GPS everyday xD

Can I ask whether this galaxy 5 can install skype? Due to my work, I need skype to receive msg from my boss at overseas then copy, paste and edit in SMS and send out to the rest. Possible?

Finally i got a lock!!! Enjoicing my papago!

I run d gps test, radar mode n it detecta satellites positions n numbers....takes around 1 minute to lock while driving
