Are there any shops in mid valley that sells malaysian-warranty PS3 consoles/bundles at good price? the seller must be trustable too.

avoid all those game shops in Midvalley

I believe Sony Malaysia does not allow retail (meaning physical) stores in Malaysia to sell PS3 any less than the Recomended Retail Price (RRP).

At most they will only allow the store to give out freebies worth not more than RM10 or so....

BTW buy from Sony STyle better than Sony Centre IMO.

Sony style = owned/operated by Sony Malaysia themselves. Only 4 stores malaysia-wide (3 in KL area, 1 in JB).

Sony Centre = franchised outlet. In KL, usually owned by Tan Electronics (Ikano and some Jusco) or Foto MIami or Best Denki (1 Utama Sony Centre).

Both Sony Style and Sony Centre sell only at RRP. But you may get freebies o special bundle offers depending on which store you go to.

my bad experience when i bought my ps3 at sony style BTS,

no free hdmi cable and not selling any, games shop at lowyat give free hdmi cable....

games?...better go to games shop, because sony style BTS don't have many games...

need to buy other stuff along with my ps3, IS A MUST, i feels i just want to kick that guy, coz i feels so mad, they mention this after they write everything in the receipt,

so i dont have any choice, i just buy ps3 stand for RM70,

FREE GIFT?....i got playstation bag, and sony pendrive 4GB.. i got this pendrive because i redeem points from my purchase of my ps3..

just sharing my experience from sonystyle BTS, so before you buy PS3 at any sony style, better ask, need to buy this and that?..etc2...ok..

You can complain to Tribunal Tuntutan Pengguna (Consumer Complaints Tribunal) if you think Sony Style 'cheated' you.

But anyway, did the salesperson mentioned everything before? I always see the price there, it will put in small print that you must purchase 1 game.

Also, did they mention that you get 15 months (1 year + 3 months extra) official warranty because you buy from official Sony store?

As for HDMI cable, Sony are selling their own premium HDMI cable, so usually they don't give out the free 'no-brand' HDMI cables that some shops give out. (Inb4 branded or non-branded HDMI cables are all the same).

I have seen that sometimes the Sony Centre (Tan Electronics or Foto miami) do give out free HDMI cables from Giraffe brand (local mid-price brand) if you purchase PS3 with lots of games, accessories and an LCD TV as well.

BTW I have 2 of those sky blue Playstation bags, use them for shopping....
