Any sifu can explain a more on what a dark pool is?  notworthy.gif
I just read that it's something about privacy for institutional transactions.
Does it mean after bursa implement it, we won't be able to see any transactions from EPF etc. in open market buy/sell queue and transaction volumes etc? So the two parties will be on separate field?  rclxub.gif

CIMB report flex.gif  i saw from other forum, that  each BKAWAN unit own 1.14 unit KLK ?! anyone make the calculation? hmm.gif
*
Taking year 2009 annual report from both KLK and BKAWAN:

KLK annual report @ page 76, can see BKAWAN holding KLK of 486,154,077 shares or 45.65%.
BKAWAN annual report @ page 87, can see total number of shares BKAWAN had was 425,580,200 shares.

Taking 486,154,077 divide by 425,580,200 which gives you a ratio of 1.14233246.

Meaning if you buy one lot of BKAWAN, you will automatically have 1.1423 lot of KLK.

Price to date:
KLK: RM 20.600
BKAWAN: RM 15.980

Conclusion, BKAWAN still undervalue.

Am I correct?

thanks alexander for the details, i think this is the reason. But that's some important point when we talk about undervalue, one is book value which as u calculate, another value is given by market. This is the reason, many counter is below their NTA, low PE but the price just cant go up, because market didnt buy it. While some counter can be high PE, but people just confidence with them ( management, future, business), their market value is higher than their book value.

Got two perspectives:
1) If you taking KLK as reference, BKAWAN is undervalued.
2) If you taking BKAWAN as reference, KLK is overvalued.

From my perception, a stock price of a company is how people grade the company, or rather how people value the company.
But what people grade a company by pricing is not really a reflection on how good a company is, because this is what people thinking and believing.

From what I know, mostly people buy on rumours or news, this is where the overvalue in terms of pricing comes in, especially when the particular company does not perform well.

If 90% of the people did their homework, then the company price might be at the correct level.

In stock price, the key is the word "confident". Stock price goes up once many people have confidence in the company.

Those are what I think and my opinions, feel free to comment and criticise.

QUOTE(cherroy @ Dec 4 2010, 11:34 AM)
Gold can be a place, but stock market is the good place to hedge inflation as well.

I will pick stock market anytime vs gold, as with good dividend stocks, you are expecting to make 5% at least from the stock besides the capital appreciation part.

Gold price almost double from the low of 2008 crisis.
while in this period, some good dividend stock price register also double or even more from the low which not yet taking account into the 5-6% received.

Anybody knows what is the annual inflation rate?
I got the annual inflation rate of 5% from one of the financial advisor, and advised to take into account this inflation rate when planning for long term financial goal.

How he got the 5% from? icon_question.gif

If the 5% annual inflation rate is true, then an investment return of 5% will not beat the inflation rate and hence our buying ability will not increase.

So the financial advisor suggested that a 8% or above of investment return will be good.

Any comment?
