Greg was saying, most likely a married deal. in that case is nothing really. more like gone from one hand to another hand, one hand thinks 1.86 good enough to sell, another hand thinks 1.86 is a nice entry point.

                Malayan Banking Bhd  has fixed the issue price of new Maybank shares to be issued under
                the dividend reinvestment plan at RM7.70 per share. The issue price was based on the fiveday
                volume weighted average market price (VWAMP) of RM8.99 per share up to and
                including Nov 3, being the last trading day prior to the price fixing date. It also said the share
                price was set after adjusting for a gross dividend adjustment of 44 sen to the five–day VWAMP
                and a discount of 85 sen, which is approximately 9.9% discount to the ex–dividend VWAMP of
                RM8.55. (Bursa Malaysia)
               
                Ex-date : 18 November 2010
               
                Shareholders who have 1000 shares will be paid the followings
               
                1) 4 sen in cash less tax of 25%, therefor net payment is 3 sen = RM30.00
               
                2) Dividend Reinvestment (optional, shareholders who do not respond will be automatically paid in cash)
               
                40 sen less tax of 25%, therefor, net payment of 30 sen = RM300
               
                If you opt for dividend reinvestment, the calculation is
               
                RM300 / RM7.70 = 38 shares .
