2.70-2.74 is a veeeeeery strong support for Faber.

samchem -> earning is flat...
sop -> eps almost double!
naim -> rev down a bit, but EPS at new high...

Still no time to read them.

Don't think so yet... so funny to see bulls are so fast to jump on this green shoots. 

Here's why:
A Labor Department analyst said weekly claims are volatile during the week between the Veteran's Day and Thanksgiving holidays. A key question is whether claims will remain this low in future weeks, or bounce back.

Also, US got better UE data tonight but Less than stellar Durable Goods data. Month to month has dropped 3.3%. 

1 & 2 should be outlined in your AGM circular. from my understanding , even if you have 1 share in the company, you are entitled to attend the AGM. can attend AGM means can vote, and can ask questions. but your vote power could differ it could be 1 person 1 vote or 1 share 1 vote.

#2 there is a book-closing date before the AGM date, so need to check in the circular about this.

#3 some got some don't have. but most usually will provide at least refreshments. some give diaries, F&B vouchers (if in a hotel), free parking waiver, tote bags maybe.. but thats about all i've received before. a lot of ppl just go for the freebies.

#4 all depends on the book-closing date, anything u do before that date they'll take that info. after the closed the books you go sell the share you're still entitled to enter as a shareholder. worse come to worst you just walk away lo

i'll be honest with u. mine here's just lying idle in astrazeneca, some water company i cant rmbr the name , and i think stnd chartered.
they say there might be a pre-christmas rally? (apparently it's a tradition of some sort) so yeah... but apart from that the FT wrote 2 weeks ago that there's an overdue correction of about 5-10% that's about to come (based on historical price movements - every 8-10 weeks one correction), maybe this week is the mild correction they were expecting.

but the macro picture here is pretty grim. can feel it in the streets too
i wish there was a forum like here where ppl share their experiences then that'll make things SO much easier

The hdd base plate issue is "mostly sorted out", but their hdd plant will only be 10-15% capacity due to lack of demand.

uh guys, i need your input on this.

just got the edividend thingy from Lonbisc. asked my dad to check for me earlier. i'm overseas at the moment.

so the story is
i hold 4000 shares of Lonbisc, i'm supposed to get RM60 (1.5sen T.E)
the payment advice i received was

not in my name. (same surname though)
not to my bank. (they paid into Public Bank, while my nominated bank was Hong Leong, i don't even have Public Bank a/c)
not my bank a/c number..

then .. it's not even the amount of shares that I hold.
I bought 4000 shares, the letter i got was for 2000 shares (rm30 dividend)

so, conclusion,
I bought 4000 share, supposed to get RM60 to my HL account.
end up in the letter, it's not my name, it's not my bank account, it's not even the correct amount of shares.

just somehow the address was sent to my house.
now i clearly remember when i signed up for edividend at Hong Leong i checked it and even had my photostated IC in there.

so i just need u guys input. do I write to the registrar at Lonbisc to talk to them about this? or is it something to do with the CDS and/or HongLeong side?

Wow....just realized that today my gain was almost 2%

Never say all the time up....sometimes back to square after the other day, and there are times that I keep losing to KLCI, so where to find 40%

David, you seldom trade these days?

Think after CIMB become laggard stocks and with plantation rallying and some fridge stocks rallying together, most of us also beat KLCI like almost everyday. Some forumers can even have double digit % gain a day. Mine consider wet wet water already.
