Hi,
How to calculate the annual profit generated from Dividend? example for STAR? http://bblifediary.blogspot.com/2010/11/hi...updated-on.html ![]() How come he calculated is 17% so high? I can see that it give out 41 cent per share per year What i calculated is i assume i bought at JAN 2010 at 2.7 (10.5+10.5+21)/270=15% And i suppose bearish market will impact on the divident right? Any concern need to care for REIT? Added on December 4, 2010, 9:55 pm QUOTE(majorarmstrong @ Dec 4 2010, 07:55 PM) i ask already no one say anything but if you really want to look for saving some money then try la REITS REIT i suppose lower risk if plan to put for many years?all reits counter like dinasour cannot move eh.. but dividend ok la... sorry sulifeisgreat if i created useless reply in this thread
QUOTE(teehk_tee @ Dec 5 2010, 10:44 PM) well, one stock going 100% is equal to 5 times ~20% gain. its not easy to pull of 5 20% short term trades because need to spot 5 potential movers. So its so difficult to invest stock using short term method? not many people can do that unless they play leverage like warrants. my holding power for 09 was too weak. up 20-25% i run and switch stocks. this year hehe, 50% also duwan let go with 10% trailing. that's another good tuition fee paid. Because i'm more interested in short term than long term, using reversal indicator method but (but so far i don success much, making lose now |

QUOTE(teehk_tee @ Dec 5 2010, 11:51 PM) i dunno. it's possible to make big and fast. really up to your style Lol thanks, i'm a technical personal so quite interest on TA but will try learning the fundamental as wellIMO, TA by itself is quite ineffective without understanding the remaining factors in the market (sentiment, stock profile, management, hot sectors etc). but pure TA is more useful for derivatives . Any good book to recommend for short term investment? |

QUOTE(skiddtrader @ Dec 6 2010, 12:13 PM) Don't you think it ran up a bit high already? based on my TA it should be uptrend, but i failed my TA so far Commodities like CPO futures still very green. I wonder if will suffer same fate as 2008 where it completely collapses in the last quarter of 2008. Though I doubt it will collapse, a correction is actually needed to stabilise prices before it's too late. Oh yeah, buy plantation stocks!! |

I can conclude that now we should ignore the Jupiter report, they give a buy signal on for KEYWEST then directly next day drop 20%
They will get karma to cheat uncle auntie money |

QUOTE(houseofaz @ Dec 6 2010, 01:20 PM) waaaa... I suppose we should avoid low volume stock? My senior teach me didn't think anyone would take me seriously this time... i thought my credibility go out the window oredi... but remember, i mentioned that its all RUMOURS so far... but as long as we're sharing I'd read up on BIMB but nobody's done an analysis or writeup on them... My only logical thought was that the entry price at ~1.20 is pretty much the lowest for the past few years.. ("defensive" would be misleading as it's simply traded very thinly...) also, talks of m&a has been there for more than a year, but most deals just fell thru.. (interested parties include Bahrain Investment, AbuDhabi-Kuwaiti Group, Maybank Etiqa) i have some new contenders in mind, but i'll share once i find out more... DISCLAIMER: 1. not call to buy/sell. caveat emptor 2. i'm noob 3. only trying to korek news if there's anyone here well connected... |

QUOTE(Larrylow @ Dec 6 2010, 02:39 PM) Hey seniors here, I newbie can comment? Got a general question for you guys. Let say before I buy a stock, I set a TP for it. But when it reaches my TP, it looks like still in uptrend? Should I sell or should I keep? In a dilemma now... and feel that my question here is so lame... haha For me if my TP is reach and the uptend is strong, then i will keep it and wait until reversal signal (TA, i love reversal) Another alternative my senior teach is set a sell trigger margin like maybe 3%, if you successfully follow the uptrend and only sell when the price drop more than 3%, so you can get few more days of price increase before you dump too early But don blindly follow my comment, as currently i'm still lossing in KLCI Added on December 6, 2010, 2:58 pm QUOTE(majorarmstrong @ Dec 6 2010, 02:50 PM) anyone holding keywest? Jupiter give buy signal, so we must selli yet to hold any but looking @ something to hold very soon.... if keywest swing.. then chun but scare it go limit down later go crazy.. this penny stock really crazy one... 1 day can go down 30% ahahahah!
