how is fan hook added to plaster ceiling?, ceiling-fan related

Dear all sifus,
my fan hooks is built in the plaster ceiling, so how to install the ceiling fan ? isn't it necessary for the hook to be with height exceed the plaster ceiling as shown in the photo ? appreciate your input. TQVM CK |
