What do you mean by English speaking repeaters? 9M2RKK and 9M2RKL are both not heavily used, why not just go on that repeaters and start calling? Or probably set few of your hams friends to join in at certain time in a day.

9M2RKK and 9M2RKL are both silence... hmmm.....

Silence? Did you make a call? What time of the day you made the call?

Someone told me to get a Diamond SG7900 instead.
Saw great reviews and people are saying it is the best.

Now, what is the appropriate price range for the SuperGainer because I want to avoid fakes and counterfeits.

Saw one place sell for RM 350 while some at RM 200 only...
While at it, anyone want to sell one for 2nd hand? tongue.gif

I am looking for an antenna tripod to fix on my house roof. Would this item available from those shops along Jalan Pasar?

I'm yet to see anyone installing antenna tripod on their roof. Please share it with us when you're done. Problem is, most of our houses are using clay or concrete roof tiles and not easy to mount the tripod. Probably best to clamp it to your wall I guess.

I have seen many houses installed with tripod but for the TV antenna or lightning protection rod. Have not seen for other uses.

I have been thinking to install the antenna using the TV clamp but it is too small. Probably have to custom made to have a larger diameter.

Would stainless steel or aluminium is better for the mast?

I've been using aluminium poles for my antennas, it has been more than 7 years now and they're still going strong. For me, I've some opening on my roof where I could mount my antenna without using a tripod, so I just clamp the pole to the wall.

Thanks for the tip.

I am using a modified tv antenna mast and during my last close-up inspection, noted that it was rusted. It is time to change and probably a little bit of upgrading.

I have been using the same external antenna for the last 10 years. Have changed the cable and mast twice during this 10 years.

You just need to ask nicely, there are quite few 9M2s reading this thread or you can head up to facebook.

There will be some groups doing the 9M2 endorsement events in this few weeks.

Eddie, nice setup. 9M2RKK seems to be quiet for quite a long time, probably a good time to cheer up the repeater again. Do call from time to time, there might be someone else monitoring the frequency. Few months ago, there was a retired 9M2 who was restarting back his amateur radio hobby on RKK. Probably the old TTDI weekly eyeball can be resurrected again and make RKK busy once more.

Hi Wiraone,

Yes, I met a nice puchong guy that do test signal with me on simplex, due to my qth does not really could hit rkk that time, with mobile antenna.
Now with a rig that QRO to 50W max on FT-7900, I can now hit RKK with the help of CP22E antenna smile.gif

Yesterday I manage to make a contact with 9W2SVT on RKK, finally with the correct setting which i managed set all tones and ENC on yaesu.
You guys can browse for his work at http://9w2svt.blogspot.com/

9W2SVT, Stanley, yup, we're in the same group on high altitude balloon project and part of APRS. He was with his APRS Studio group presenting their works on APRS during our last MyAPRS workshop in PD. Still going low profile right now on the HAB project, couldn't source a reasonably priced helium sad.gif
