I "s**ks" at DIY, and I've been youtubing all the antennas, for 10m, "the state" people are using monopole antenna but I plan to put it on my rooftop, afraid kena lightning. I am also not very familiar with the 1/4 length wave, 1/2 length wave thingy etc, that's why I am asking for opinion.

Maybe I will try to attend the event first before I go venture into the 10m.

What would be the exact time/date and venue for the ILLW event?

Btw, a stupid question, Is Malaysia affected by ionosphere radio propagation ? how far 10m can reach? Indonesia? Thailand?

Interesting any Ham vendor or HAM flea market there?

I have found out that my APRS device does not work well on digipeaters
currently testing APRSDroid with my baofeng 5W via VOX.
VOX=3 , squelch=3
Any suggestion? getting external antenna will help?

With VOX, you probably missed lot of data before your radio starts transmitting. Put delay a long delay before transmit value. I don't have any experience using aprsdroid. Join FB lah, can ask there. Lot of sifu there.

Try 9M2RKK or 9M2RKL, probably there will be someone on any of the repeaters during your way back home. Make a call and not wait and see. Everyone shy one including @Piju.

Wow, that is nice. Do you use the DVB dongle + upconverter? I'm eyeing for the HackRF + upconverter, no idea when will the HackRF will be available publicly. You can find the SMA-BNC converter at Jalan Pasar.

Yes i am currently playing with it, HackRF u can start pre-order via nooelec.com, I previously ordered by DVB dongle there, only just got the up-converter today.
Yes, i just went back from jalan pasar to customize some of the cable, even though more expensive.
