i think thats why we need to work skmm to allow 9w into 40m and not only on 10m  cry.gif
*
We did, last year when SKMM asking for a reply to a proposal, out of 10K hams in Malaysia, only a few that actually replied to the proposal and attended the meeting. Most of the 9W are happy to be on repeaters and simplex 2M.

Where is your location? If you're on Facebook, look for marts or any local amateur radio groups there and ask.

For those who haven't check the FB lately, you should've realised by now that SKMM has announced that they're now allowing 40M band for class B license holders.

If only I had a 40m transceiver in the first place.
*
You could build the 40m transceiver as a kit, but mostly they're QRP. I don't think there is a commercially available 40m only transceiver. BTW, class B is still CW-less, you can't do morse on air using CW mode.

Thanks alot  for the info!

Say, after I sit and pass RAE exam, do I entitle for the callsign? What about Class A and Class B exam?
What if I want to communicate using CW Morse, do I have to sit for a different exam?
*
If you passed the RAE exam, this entitle you for the Class B license. Legally, you won't be able to communicate using CW, for some reason our apparatus assignment does say so. You need to wait for a year before you can upgrade your license to Class A. And yes, you need to sit for CW test, 12WPM either using PC (exam as and when there is a demand) or manual exam (twice yearly).

9Ws cannot do A1A, but if you can legally transmitting "cw",u can do via SSB mode via Synthesizer, mimicking CW pulses.
tones (dit-da) modulated under AM/SSB will not consider as A1A smile.gif
*
If you take a look at the AA again, it does mentioned morse code and not CW. That means you can't even do a morse code on top of SSB or FM.

What is the 'not applicable' mean?
*
Pay, and register for the exam.

Not applicable means no restriction on number of people sitting for the exam.

Congratulations. Enjoy the hobby.. though you'll come across much of the normal politics going as per other hobbies too especially when you've joining any clubs/societies. Rivalries seem to be normal in this hobby too.
