i heard that its much cheaper if u can buy your own tiles for renovation. i plan to get tiles on my own. May i know where to get tiles? thanks for yr advise.

no problem and yup, thats the place, just go shop hopping and look for the tiles u like, u can also buy cement for tiles, if u know how to use, otherwise just use normal cement.

if you want to go to big showrooms ie. MML, Niro, Feruni, go straight to PJ Old town Jalan Penchala area..

dont buy from showroom, usually more exp than tile dealer... but definately go to showroom to get some ideas - guocera ideas not bad!

hmm..not true in my case, i 've made some queries on Feruni tiles thru dealers (houz depot one of them), the price quoted are not any cheaper than if you were to buy it directly from showroom...

ok. but i will only get the tiles. the work will just leave it to contractor.

u mean the shops have a showroom too?

actually sentul / jalan ipoh area.. should be more than enuf.. price is pretty reasonable too
i just got mine.. 2 boxes. but ended up .. contractor said no need to use it :s

last time i bought around rm 2.5 for mml tiles.. well, the price depends on quantity and design too )
try to talk to the employer there <bangla / india> nego a bit. they will sure be able to reduce somemore

jalan ipoh would definately be the place.. so many choices & design u can choose from, price is not bad also (cheaper than other place i survey)..

i bought all my tiles there, but if ur house is far from the shop its very troublesome to go back to change the broken ones (get replacement )...

hmm.. how many tiles we are talking about ?
sometimes, they do not have the sufficient tiles there and might need to wait..
since i bought 2 boxes.. i took it back myself..
in ur case if it involves more.. try to nego with them )

its great idea to buy tiles. Do bear in mind you will need to balance the distance of the shop and the price. There is no point for you to drive 2 hours to get a few tiles if they are not enough. Tiles again are group on their manufacturing datetime, they have a code, do make sure all your tiles are in the same code, or else you will have different colors of tiles because they are manufactured with differently although they are using the same material.
