i didn't play those badminton games on consoles before..but did/can they recreate all the real moves?
can you do cross court drops/smashes? screw the shuttle, cross court nets, faking shots? haven add in jumping smash, jumping lob, jumping drop, and adding the cross court factors.
adding on to that, there's so much way to serve your shuttle. can serve high ball, flick to the front baseline, and the list goes on.

table tennis/tennis look so much simpler IMO. and their rally lasts so much shorter as well compared to badminton. one ACE then u get a point. and how many moves can you serve in tennis?
From playing Deca Sports for Wii, they can't re-create all the real moves, instead u've to adjust to their interpretation of badminton. Opportunity to smash appear when the shuttlecock glows red, drops made by gentle move of Wiimote, can't screw the shuttle, netgame done by gentle moves as well, faking shots ... can but could miss the shot(last minute move)...jumping moves, all those are automated coz only 1 wiimote is required/nunchuck not needed, only 2 ways to serve - flick to front baseline or high ball to back ... can direct the shuttlecock 2 left/right court (not too analogued like Wii Tennis), front/back court depends on ur angle of wiimote movement (up or like down/or how u move it,a flick or a soft move) ... receiving/parry smash can also, but had to be anticipated in advance (if u think the opponent gonna smash when the shuttlecock glows red, u need to flick back the wiimote already, left or right...it's a gamble).can you do cross court drops/smashes? screw the shuttle, cross court nets, faking shots? haven add in jumping smash, jumping lob, jumping drop, and adding the cross court factors.

In short, it's a very simplified badminton game with precise defined movement, not like real life ... but still fun nevertheless when u can 'bully' ur opponent coz they dunno how to control ... heheheh ...

to answer ur questions...yes with the current physics n graphics engine.
it's just that maybe there isn't enough motivation for them to implement it to just cater a few of these casual fans. unless of course if they see there's profit in it from the sales of raquet sports. If not, well that is probably what u will be getting
Only tried PS3 Move / Sports Champions ... table-tennis, better/more accurate than Wii's .. but still kinda got 'digital/definite' degree of movement, not fully 'analog' ... the screw balls, really can screw tho it's just that maybe there isn't enough motivation for them to implement it to just cater a few of these casual fans. unless of course if they see there's profit in it from the sales of raquet sports. Yet to try PS3 Move Racquet Sports ...
