I normally don't use speedtest to rate the speed because I might get a sudden burst. I prefer to use direct download to rate the actual download speed, especially from US/Europe/Luxembourg server.

There's no problem with local server, but the speed drops more than half when download from international server. I have to use VPN to fix the routing and get the full speed.

PJ Section 14 here. Speeds are capped to what other users are experiencing. And to think I upgraded from 512kbps to 1mbps, hoping to get higher speeds...
I can't even et my ps3 game files updated properly. Ughhhh
*
upgrade to higher package won't give you any difference. TM will kept on capping our connections.

do multiple complaints and then give the SKMM reports to TM. Continue doing it till TM lift the trottling.

Running in 1mbps and this is the activity in my router.

Side note, i have asked the user to download something to fully utilize the 1mbps speed. The total speed is average 500++ kilobites/sec

they capped base on ip. try get a good ip and test with speedtest. The line is uncapped. But have to connect and reconnect multiple times to get the uncapped ip. once connected dont switch off the router. smile.gif

it won't solve the problem. My connection/ip will be renewed/reconnected after 12++ hours of usage

you guys should check with TM and file a report if they dont give u a resolution. could it be your router, pc with p2p running on the background or pc infected with virus? check your task manager on the networking tab and see if theres any activity during idle. if all above does not apply then it might be problem with the phone line. just my experience, no other isp performance is better than TM in malaysia.
