Hi, I'm a n00b here. Need you guys' help.

I'm looking for a guitar that has either 2 humbuckers or 1 hum and 1/2 single coils and also without tremolo. My budget would be around RM600. Any suggestions? I'm actually looking at GSZ120 or GRG121 (but I don't know how much they cost), anyone know where I can get them and how much are they? Also, where can I get GRX20 and how much is it?

Do Woh Fatt and Bentley sell Samick guitars? How much is the InterceptorII IC10?

Sorry for my noobie questions. Thank you very much.

Hehe, yeah I heard that the GRG270 is pretty good. But the problem is that I don't have enough money leh. My budget is only around rm600.

Bargain! i think can get for around RM700+...

if can't then look for another guitar lor.. but make sure you go to the correct place to buy. Some shops have really good deals. You better discuss with the pros here. They seem to know where to buy the cheapest guitars.

my college wants to purchase music instruments: they gave a budget of RM5000 and ask us to get:

1. a drum set
2. a bass
3. a bass amp
4. a guitar amp

can be second hand, but must be quality stuff.
please offer suggestions!

1. get a Tama/Yamaha basic, should cost around RM2k plus.
2. can't go wrong with SX. smile.gif
3. can't help you there, sorry. tongue.gif
4. I think you can get at least a Vox AD30VT. smile.gif

what are those gonna be used for? performances?

Practice + Performances. We're on a tight budget.
But the instruments no need to be so important, as most of the students will be using our own instruments. Except the drums.

so the drums and the amps must be good. Vox AD amps, huh? okay, okay, will look into it. and SX Bass? I figured Tama basic set should be around RM2500, and RM1000 for the Bass, then RM1500 for a bass amp and a guitar amp.

should be quite okay, right?

ps: thanks LedZep. smile.gif

np... anyway imo the snare and toms should be decent sounding. If the budget permits, invest a little more on a good pair of cymbals. A good crash and ride could improve the overall sound of performances + practices while on the other hand, a screwed-up sounding crash will almost screw up everything. Just ask those who used to practise at Black Widow. tongue.gif

alrite, thanks for the advice.
so would any set of Zildjian cymbals do? or is there any specific type i shld get? cos i don't really know much about cymbals. Except some brands.
what happened at Black Widow? lol blink.gif
