lol...
You can't go wrong with SX guitars. Cheap stuff with good tones. Sounded better than most of the Squiers and some said it beat some of the lower line Fender too.

300 bux for 3.0k sounding guitar...hahahah...ok, once in a while, there would be some idiot in this world would sell an awesome top of the line guitar for like couple of hundreads. My guitarist got his RG which should cost 2.1k for like RM 400 and this one old legendary story where some fella sell his Fender American Strat (in good condition mind u) for RM 600. Why laa thiss pple... shakehead.gif

how about gettin a used good guitar
Between these three guitars which one would u pick and why
2nd hand MIM fender strat, with duncan bridge pu, no bag?  RM1350
2nd hand MIJ fender strat (the lowest end jap strat ST-43), with bag? RM1450
2nd hand Highway 1 US fender strat with bag?  RM1750?

also are these prices reasonable for 2nd hand fender guitars?
*
Hmm...i would choose MIM...since it got Duncan pu there, kinda cheap for 1.3k. For me the Highway 1 is a bit expansive...better just collect till u can get a new one.

noob here...
is ibanez electric guitars good 4 starters??
and how much will it cost one??? as in the whole set....
*
Ibanez is ok...depends on which model, it's usually under 1k with gig big and some spare money to buy a small practice amp.

But before u get an Ibanez or Squier, take some time and test out SX guitars...it might worth the extra effort. Follow your ear and heart thumbup.gif

QUOTE(Pix @ Nov 30 2005, 09:46 AM)
anyway, as i always said : go for a nice guitar and don't bother about a good 15W amp. Because it just doesn't exist ! Buy anyone of them, and change it in 1 or 2 years.
*
Got to agree with this...u want a nice small amp there's not much choice other than a Roland Cube. But then, that also cost some dough. laugh.gif

Nice guitar/bass is the way to go coz u sling ur guitar/bass everywhere, not your amp unless you memang want the exact tone you've been creating on your amp and can't tolerate house amps laugh.gif

Another advice for starters (like really just started, not the one that alrdy expert on kapok looking for his first electric lady) that have extra money, don't go buy the most expensive unit that you see. Because you can never be too sure how long you gonna play. I encounter lotsa cases where after bought let's say a nice Fender MIA Strat, after few months stopped alrdy. First, that's farking wasted and 2nd, there's other guitarist that deserve that more than u but too bad, u are more fortunate than them. World kinda unfair...dun make it much more unfair laugh.gif notworthy.gif

I agree, getting a Cube 30 with the same Ibanez RGX is a smarter initial investment. But how much does that cost ?
*
Close to 2.5k - 3k? Roland Cube 30 is around 1k, and RGX definately 1k plus.

Hey, a guitarist friend of mine is asking around how much a decent 7 string guitar would cost.... maybe an Ibanez....... anyone have any ideas???
*
Ibanez 7-string? Pretty expensive and quite rare in Bentley. Even the fixed bridge RG 7 cost cost between 2-3k if i'm not mistaken. Unless you talking about Ibanez 7-string GIO which a lil bit more than 1k. That was 1-2 years back. I don't know about now.

Generally, 7-string are pretty rare and doesn't cost cheap. Do Re Mi near Chow Kit that have few dirt cheap (between RM 600-RM 1k) China-made 7-string which have a very rough workmanship in the shape of Strat & RG laugh.gif

If your friend confident about buying online (like you thumbup.gif ), you can try Ebay. Careful of Ibanez 7-string ripoff from China. Look almost the same. rclxub.gif

eh but the epi LP 7-string is nice.
the neck isnt much wider than the normal 6-string, unlike the ibanez 7-strings.
very comfortable, was around RM1.5k that time.

Very hard to find nowadays. Limited run during the nu-metal fever.
Saw some on Ebay. Some are Custom-made by Epi and some are not. So careful yah, afraid you paid a Custom-Shop price for a normal version notworthy.gif
