but i doubt you're as noob as me, last night was really a mess, and i almost crashed head on collision with dunno-what-the-heck-was-that during my maiden voyage, and the SA sweat, so he voluteer to drive my car back, and this morning, i come to work still by bike, FML...

I have a Persona elegance, drove for 3 months ady....so far dont have any major problems. But some how there are some minor prob which i would like to ask:

1. When i drive more than 120 km/j, the steering will vibrate (turn left and right)...dont know whats the prob.
2. The common prob that most of them mentioned, when turning and hit a bump or hole got clak clak sound.
3. When i off my car, i can hear  tak tak(metal hit metal sound) sound when i was standing outside the car, dono is normal or not.

Any one can tell me whats the prob and what to fix? I planned to go service my car next week.

finally took the dive.... changed my crappy steel rims to 205 45 R17 BSA alloys + Kenda Kaiser KR20 brand new rubbers.

Trade in the steel wheels. Burned my wallet.

Change to aftermarket Rotor. Can get Brembo OEM or TRW Rotor for the front (RM 150 ~ RM 180)

around the same. Sometime full tank only run 380 - 400km

They say will void  warranty, and cause the bearing spoilt faster. Too much load for the bearing to handle

Correct me if I am wrong.  Is it wiser to change all 4 wheel hubs to larger one (which can accommodate  5 wheel nuts) instead of using back the original (4 wheel nuts) before installing excessively large rims/tires. Not to mention, Proton can void warranty for all Steering & suspension parts if they so wish.  I am only afraid unauthorised mods like huge rim/tires may compromise safety.

If you look at the Persona's version of China's Youngman L3, you will see that the large wheels are planted on 5 bolts hubs which I feel is able to cope with the additional stress exerted on the drive-train & suspension.

The brake rotors have to be upgraded to because if u were to change to 5lug nuts u the original brakes disc wont fit in anymore. If u are scared the studs cant take the stress then change to high strength wheel studs. Even those Subaru originals one will be more than enough to do the job.

Now next upgrade is bodykit!! 
The back lowered suspension looks really flush. Have u had any problems with the tire knocking the fender?
Yeah too many nice looking rims for 5holes.. There are a lot of 4holes rims too.. But mostly PCD100.. Persona 100whp max one.. There wont be enough of torque stress to spoilt any of the components lah.. Unless u turbocharged to 200-300whp then probably lah.. But not with a stock engine.
I spy a carbon stickered B and window Pillars!! 
And a moving cannycool advertiser.    When i tinted there i specifically told them to make sure that isnt there. XD

yea i purposely install low springs only at the rear to level the car. stock persona suspension really look damn stupid with the butt tonggek like what. so far, it does not hit the fender (rear) BUT... touches the inner bumper plastics when the car goes through a bump hard. i hv cut a bit off a plastic part with a pen knife since i saw the rubbing marks. but then i think it rubs the other plastic part in there.... anyways.... i am still investigating on this part. to report back later once i found it.

just an interesting note to you all which i found out long time ago couple of months after i own my car in 2009.

to lower ur persona pretty much like stock is easy.

1. Change the front & back absorber to Gen2. Why? Gen2's absorber body length is the same BUT the spring seats are lower about almost an inch. That is why u see Gen2 with lower profile tires still look pretty ok in stock height (no big gaps).
2. Persona's rear coil springs are the same with Gen2.
3. Persona's front coil springs are not the same with Gen2. So its either you maintain OR change the coils (front) to Gen2 as well. But if u change the front coils to Gen2, then u need to buy the top seat for it too since Persona's front coils have different sizes top and bottom (conical shaped).
NOTE: For mine i changed only the rear coil springs to APM Performax low springs to level out the ride. And it still drives exactly like stock.

Sigh, i thought Persona's A Pillar would be tough enough...

LOL.. Ur car really so terrible one har?? He only remap the A/F ratio isit? Does he remap the Gearbox gearchange controls too?? To match the gear shifts to proper speed ratio for maximum pickup?

Roger. For me springs is much cheaper lah.. Rm160 for a set of APM Performax. Absorbers mahal sikit.
Can counter it mah.. Lower rear springs with taller ducktail spoiler.

Its very tough ady loh.. Look at the pic.. Surprisingly the interior cabin intrusion very less.. Just too bad no air bag only.. If not sure can save the driver..

Owh.. Yest i pour full tank.. Went for 140km ady. But my meter still show that i only use LESS THAN 1/4 OF A GAP!     
Impossible FC so good.. And i fill till the fuel gun auto stop then i nvr fill anymore ady.. 

BTW Esso Mobil now got contest to win a Myvi.. From now on i will pinjam everyone my car as long as they pour petrol for me.. hehe..

Noticed it.. If u brake really hard or u are going downhill.. U magically have free petrol, but only to be taken away when u go back uphill.. 

LOL..    It still have to lah.. I wished i could switch off the engine and only switch it back on when its starting to go uphill.. XD.

I want to install LED fog lamps first before changing my head lights.. 

Yeah.. Exactly.. Im getting the E-class ones.. Hella design.. Or probably the Audi A6 ones if possible.. Gonna cost a bomb though.. But hell its worth it..

Oh like those under car lights?? awesome.. HID sure wei,.. change ur foglamps for HID ones first lah.. But seriously i hate it lah.. Cos HID doesnt work with reflector style head lamps.. It scatters the light too much.. It only works with projection lamps..
