To gain you reception is pretty simple. Plug in iTunes and click restore. If reception is not back yet, try insert another sim to test out the line.

I try to restore but it need to download 589.9 MB of data and in between it will be timed out. Tried from yesterday afternoon but no joy. Putting another sim card does not work too. Any more ideas?

Restoring the 1st method of doing.
Just download the 500mb file from iTunes and enjoy the rest.
It should be iOS4.2

Nothing come across my mind expect restoring. Is the best option you have.

i tether a lot the past few days, no problem on 4.1. it's more stable by USB compared to bluetooth. probably bcuz my bluetooth mouse makes a little interference but dunno lah

my itunes is still saying 4.1 is the latest

iPad iOS4.2 update weighing in at 551.4MB, iPhone 4 iOS4.2 update clocking in at 624.3MB. Downloading now.

Those with the delayed updates, quit and restart iTunes again. Mine popped up immediately stating new updates once I restarted iTunes.

got it now no need to restart itunes. downloading~

Once all these is done, I'm testing out AirPlay feature between iPhone 4/Apple TV. If this works, then video/audio streaming and picture display content would never be the same, or be any easier than simply AirPlaying it straight to the big screen!

No.You cant.Unless head to Celcom website and retrieve over there.
Data Celular works as your phone gateway(iPhone) allowing network to be connected to MMS server to receive the MMS.

I am experiencing this particular problem which is my iPhone4 connected USB cable and connect it to my iPhone compatible device for music it keeps skipping or it sounds like it is disconnect and connect disconnect and connect but i don't think it is disconnecting since the iphone is charging without interruption at all. I thought it was the device so i tried with my iPhone2g and iPhone3GS and both works without any problem at all. I tried with iPod and it is ok as well. The only thing i didn't try is using another person's iPhone4 and plug it in.

Have you all experience this before? Is my iPhone4 defective!?

Are u saying there will be an infinite loop of connected/charging sound ?
I got that when plugging to USB through another USB extension cable. But mine wouldn't charge. The charging icon Just blinks

just sharing.... to use the new Find text feature in safari (i didnt realise this last night), just type what u want to find in the normal search box. then scroll down. took me quite a while to figure it out

question, does the airplay button only shows up when the iphone detects an appletv?

it doesn't have a constant timing of the blep blep blep blep its like random intervals. I realize is that the song that i am playing continues on like normal even when it bleps. During the blep the you can't hear the song thou.

Is like this:

let just say the song is 60 seconds, the first 8 seconds no blep 9th second it bleps then you hear the song at the 10th second and then 2 seconds later it bleps the song did not stop playing even thou it bleps and the song continues at its 13th second, 5 seconds later you hear another blep the song uninterrupted and playing at the 19th second. During the blep there is no song/music just a single blep.

can iphone 3g running on baseband 05.14.02 be unlocked already ?..it was initially running on 3.1.3 , then updated to 4.1 , that is why it was locked, then i revert back to 3.1.3 now, can i still unlock it? or need to update the OS back to 4.1 then unlock ?

Hey guys. I've been using my 3GS for a while now and its been fine since I've brought it back from Melbourne.
Yesterday I changed my sim card from Hotlink to the new 3G Maxis which I presume is the newest one.
So now I can call and receive calls and receive sms, but I just can't send one.

I've updated to the latest carrier settings, on iOS 4.1 and I've also reset network settings. Also I have tried this method

Any other solution before I go back to Maxis? It's not jailbroken

I am gonna get IP4, currently on WinMo (HTC Touch Pro), using a Macbook.
I need to know how to transfer my contacts and sms from old phone to my soon to get IP4.

If your contacts are synced into Address Book on your Mac, open your Address Book, go to Preferences, and tick "Synchronize with Google". A better way would be to synchronize with MobileMe, but since you're coming from WinMo, that is not possible. Once that is done, get your iPhone, activate it, and on iTunes, under the "Info" tab, tick the "Sync Address Book" box, and you should have all your contacts in your iPhone 4. Other methods works as well, all you need to figure out is how to sync your contacts in your WinMo device to the Address Book on your Mac. There are other options like The Missing Sync as well. Google that out to find out.

MobileMe Find My iPhone in iOS4.2.1 awesome. I can track my wife movement (of course i'm not telling her).

The iPhone update isn't so noticeable. AirVideo/AirPlay and Find My iPhone are the two most important additions, I suppose. Otherwise finding text in Safari is also notable, along with the ability to customize you contacts' ringtones and text tones.

But IMO all the new tones are horrible, except for Noir and Suspense.

There is TeamViewer, but that's another thing entirely, allowing you to remotely control your desktop. There's Dropbox/Sugarsync, both of which I havent tried, but those would require uploading the files first.
