QUOTE(akirasawaki @ Jun 7 2011, 10:59 PM) iPhone Generation : 3gs Unlocked? (or Part Number): unlocked Current Firmware : 4.0.2 Current network: maxis 7.0 iTunes Version : 10.0.2 PC/MAC : pc Jailbreaking software : limerain Problem Encountered : low network coverage/ no signal, finding how to update the carrier Steps Taken So Far : Screenshot of Problem(if applicable) : Other Information/Remarks : ignored the carrier settings update now trying to look for it again as it didnt show up anymore but dont know how. really think that if i update the carrier setting that would help the coverage be much better or is it something else is wrong? even if im in kl, i would only receive 2-3 bar of coverage. that is bad. please help thanks It's best for u to update your iOS to 4.3.3(current) n jailbreak it using redsn0w rc16..when u update, the carrier update will commence thru after updated..n may i know, why didn't u update your carrier??fyi, current carrier version for maxis is 10.1

Reverse tethering! anyone with any idea? basically this is my situation. my company has limited wireless access and only put my laptop's wireless MAC address as part of a safelist to access internet. so my iphone can't surf wireless. PLUS there's no GPRS/EDGE/3G connection or a proper signal. i know how we can tether using our iphones for the pc but is there anyway we can do it backwards? as in my pc has wireless and i want it to 'wireless hotspot' my iphone. note that i only have iphone and my laptop. no other wireless usb adaptors

I dunno if you guys realised that App Store already has auto download on iOS 4.3.3.. and also it seems like iCloud already has been launched cos I am seeing the iCloud-able app icon in my App Store.

My friend's iphone masuk air and she's wondering where's the best place to fix the phone. She heard sending it back to Maxis could take months and would usually cost a bomb. What's your advice? Thanks. If I didn't post this in the right place, mods pls pm me. Thanks again.

Updated to iOS 5 Beta 1. A little buggy but overall the performance is still smooth and everything seems to be okay (battery too!). The notifications help A LOT seriously, fast image shooting and photo editing features, as well as universal dictionary across the iOS make life much easier, whereas the others aren't really ready yet, such as newsstand, iCloud, iMessage, etc. Many additional configurations and settings were added into iOS 5, for example you can now determine the file size of each of your app under your usage, remove the cache and data manually w/o deleting the app. You will soon find out that Facebook and Twitter are actually taking up a lot of space! Oh btw, The twitter integration is nice, especially the nice UI when you tweet a photo or a location. Can't wait for the official release!
