1st of all, like any hard drives or thumbdrives or memory cards... 16GB is not exactly 16GB. cuz 1 kB = 1024 B not 1000 B. so 16 GB is actually about 14.9 GB.

16*(1000/1024)^3 = 14.9

so 0.9 GB would be the space needed for iOS itself

you dont expect a phone to come without an OS would u? unless u want to code ur own OS lah

i dont think faulty earphone can fast forward or stop a song, unless u're using one of those earphones with remote controls lah. if that's the case, just unplug it and see if the problem still occur or not
