is there any significant risk on hdd failure if i ask sumbody in malaysia to buy a hdd, boxed in foam and posted to me oversea?

well, assuming they do their job properly and carefully, do the foams prevent damages to the hdd from shock and vibration?
or lets say they just going thru shock and vibration just that one time and i take care of it really carefully for its whole life, does the hdd lifespan will be reduced significantly?
