i think u shouldnt knock a hdd when it's reading or writing.. pretty obvious stuff coz of it's head is pretty close to disk. that's why current notebook got G-protection or something. but i think in no power condition it can stand up to 250G shock.

so DONT knock it when it's spinning no matter how slow they are
