My experiece, I bought a new hdd. Very happy. but just when i went out the shop, the plastic bag broke n the hdd drop on the floor. I went back n format it. Everything seen ok. Using it now...

repairing a hdd or fata recovery service need a lot of money...

If u have the money to spare and got many importance n private data in hdd, it is recomended.

But if not, better throw it or sell it as faulty hdd n buy a new one. now hdd very good price...


Added on April 26, 2008, 12:24 pmanother tips,

if hdd 1st time formatted in vertical position, keep using it in that position.

changing the position of the hdd will shorten hdd life...
