Well, finally managed to get some decent benching in yesterday - testing my GTX 580 cards on air before going sub-zero in a couple of weeks

My new(ish)retail 980X is going pretty well - benching 3D03 / 05 at 6050 using only 1.8V in bios. CPU temp -115/-120. Batch is 3013A5xx

GTX580 Cards are doing pretty well on air - maxing out at 950+ / 1150 with GPUV @ 1.1V only. Temps not going above 75 degrees C

3DM03 Single Card 119k

3DM03 Dual Card 174k

3DM05 Single Card 50k

AQ3 Single Card 411k

And a screenshot just for good measure.....





Need to do some work on the efficiency of these runs (memory speed / NB speed) and will then try some higher volts and other benchmark runs

Alex (Sup3rfly) and I have a day benching session organised in a couple of weeks - so will prep these cards for LN2 over the next couple of weeks With around 70ltrs of LN2 available we should have a blast

Only got one run done on LN2 with my video card before my motherboard failed Video card ran 3dm06 at 1100 on the core with no hardware mods at all (normal speed 782) Pot temps around -60 only





Hi Kimiez91 - Sub zero is any temp less than zero degress celcius - can get using a number of different methods. LN2 = -190, cascade coolers around -110, single stage coolers around -50, chilled water maybe -5

Cooling definitely helps with overclocks, although too much can cause other issues that you also have to try and manage - cold bug / cold boot bug etc

Much cooler = much easier to overclock - even on air

Yeah they go okay Just did a quick bit of LN2 testing on mine earlier this week - didnt have the same issues as when Alex was around

Just a couple of screenshots for you - 1150 on core okay at 1.265V - GPU pot -130/-140. Didnt have a lot of LN2 left so just did some quick benching at "safe" voltages










Once I get back to KL from Xmas I will have to load up with LN2 and push for more, think both the CPU and GTX580 have some more to give

Yeah had to buy and sell a few CPU's to find this one got from the UK via ebay but glad to finally get a reasonable CPU (still not 6.5 benchable )

I cant attend the Team AU bench session this weekend as we are heading back to NZ for Xmas tomorrow - but you should keep an eye on the i4memory.com site - there is sure to be some good action (I know what hardware they have lined up )

Been playing a bit more with the setup I have and we have made some progress

GTX580 now benching okay at 1204 Core 1205 Memory - including Vantage. Card unmodded, running 1.266V on Core @ -140

980X Seems to be getting stronger Running CPU tests in Vantage at 6064 today

Ran multiple runs to see what the setup could do - finally broke 40k (just) and got 12th spot on HWBOT (for now) Have Direct CUII in transit from the US - looking forward to 1500 core speed
