The defect is only 5% compared to overall and it so happen out TS is holding a defective 1
So it's best not to get frightened so easily and close your options

It's up to your choice when or what phone you want to buy, do keep in mind on what you need your phone to do for you before buying.
If you need a good camera, multimedia phone with a sturdy body then this is recommended
But if you are a heavy web user then the web browsing in N8 is really bad
Thus see what you need most and decide

If your "debating" skills is as good as 1 of our user Emino then maybe you can.
Else they won't do an exchange at all rather they'll only "rectify" and fix
Other way is to join our TS in his petition to get an exchange

It could also be due to some apps that you install especially s60v5 apps
Some of them does make your phone lag although the ram is more than sufficient
Happened to me before and I just uninstall it and it became much smoother

i thought about tat 1 or 2weeks back, bt seems like its not possible as they keep updating the video daily..? the apps im currently having this issue is 8TV, TV3, NatGEO, but no problem on CNN & E! weird huh? since i ald formatted the phone, i begin to wonder if it is due to hardware problem.... i went to one utama Nokia CC last week, the lady told me they can only do a so called 'software update' for me, i doubt it wil resolve the problem..

haiz.. so im the unlucky guy... i thought buying a 2nd N8 actuali, bt this problem stop me, i went to Nokia Sunway Pyramid last week, the guy told me i wil be taking 2nd batch N8, 1st batch ald sold out.. i have lost my confident.
