Guys, a review for Dark Lords (Oh yeah I'm joining the contest, sorry for the amatuerish review)

The moment you starts the game, you’ll be presented with a stunning background graphic of hordes of demon army fighting against a legion of human army. The image purportedly feels like an infamous movie franchise, Lord of The Rings. You will have two different modes in the Menu: 1) Campaign Mode and 2) Challenge Mode. The other two options in the Menu are Scores and Credits. Sadly, there is no option for settings and name personalization though.
The objective of the game is to reach the demon’s castle while holding their hordes of army from reaching our own.



Game play

1) Campaign Mode
A click on the Campaign mode will gives you the option of choosing the side. Play as the noble Human Race or the banished Demon. Selecting either one of them will start the game right away, surprisingly, without any tutorial. A seasoned gamer of this genre will obviously have no qualm of this missing feature but a newbie will struggle to understand the whole game concept.



A human side will initially have the axe warrior, swordsman and magic arrow at his expense at the start of the game against the demon hordes. Building any of the army type or even casting the spell requires mana which fortunately automatically regenerate normally even you’re not advancing unlike Crystal War for example. As usual, every type requires different points of mana to build so choose wisely. You’ll get higher score when completed in the shortest amount of time. As you progress, you’ll be gifted with AP (Ability Point) once you completed a stage, to upgrade a wide range of skills tree categorized into Build, Talent and Spell. Different AP is required for different ability. You can unlock new type of army, spell and slot by using the AP.



To start the next stage, a World Map is given to pick the stage and trail. The roundish stage will give the option to fight against the demon while the square stage will gives you rebellious human to take on. The same option is reversed if you choose your race as the Demon. And as you already expected, the further the game goes, the higher the number and quality of demons but you’re still in the easy level. Higher difficulty can be chosen once you have completed the same stage on easier level. In fact, three levels are given, Easy, Normal and Hard.





2) Challenge Mode
You need to complete at least one stage in the Campaign mode of either one of the race to unlock the Challenge mode of the similar race. There are two types of challenges, Rebel Assault by the human or the Undead Horror by the demon. It has the same game play with Campaign mode but without difficulty option and stages. The faster you won the game, the higher the score. It’s much difficult than Campaign mode though. And fret not, the score is handled by OpenFeint, so you always have the bragging rights to show.

Graphics
The game’s graphic is presented in silhouette art form for every character. That gives it a unique feeling for the game in comparison to other similar games. Somehow, I love the way it’s done. It’s interesting to know that while the brutal fight is occurring, you’ll see day & night alternately comes by. This is another unique selling point of the game and at the same time showing you how much time you have used to complete the stage. It’s good to know as well that different stage sets at different arena which is refreshing.

Sound
The soundtrack is definitely suited to the game. The sound of fighting doesn’t sound bad either. All in all, well chosen soundtrack.


Price
The price of the game is definitely worthy of the game. However, I would love to see more features provided namely settings option, personalization, tutorial and tilt feature so you don’t have to pan the game all the time. Some typo errors are visibly seen as well. In a nutshell, it’s a great RTS game to play with hours of fun gaming with unique graphic. I’m definitely hooked to this game.

yes...i guess this game is better played in ps2 rather than iphone..considering the size of the screen to see the surroundings

time ur jump. make sure ur prince sticks the landing on the opposite wall before pressing jump. there's a rythm to it
