those are calibrated LCD monitor for specialized field (colour accuracy freaks or even sometimes hospital)
similar to NEC Eizo Planar where you can check out their price for 5-digit USD$ in Dell USA website

QUOTE(Racerx @ Jan 29 2011, 01:22 AM) There's the HP ZR24W,Dell U2410/U2711/U3011,ACD 27" etc..[All are 16:9 except for the U3011] What's your budget actually?If you want something big yet relatively cheap there's the Samsung P2770H 27" 1920X1080 LCD,it's around RM1000. Personally,1000DPI is good enough for me at 1920x1080 as all u mentioned, only 2711 and apple 27" is 16:9 the rest are 16:10 family i was using IME3.0 with 2410, scrap that mouse liao 1000dpi still make my hand suffer, cannot reach corner to corner in one drag now 1000dpi on 2209, just nice for normal usage. for ghosting /screen delay, yes its noticeable if you got 2 different screen running together TN film is still unbeatable in gaming LCD technology This post has been edited by ktek: Jan 29 2011, 05:52 PM |

QUOTE(Racerx @ Jan 29 2011, 10:23 PM) E-IPS is high end,eIPS is the low end one found the on U2311H and the like.It doesn't have an ATW Polarizer,it also has a wider aperture for light transmission enabling the use of cheap backlighting.[This makes the LCD cheaper to make and use less power].It's also an 8bit panel,unlike higher end ones which are 10bit. where u get this info?? dun tell me wiki shit e-ips eips all same lar |

QUOTE(TechnoG @ Jun 4 2011, 10:45 PM) ok. So let's say after the 3 days warranty period by the seller is over, and then after 1 month of usage, there is something wrong with the color. So who should I turn to? 1.1k is expensive i bought mine below 1000 last year and now is much cheaper This post has been edited by ktek: Jun 5 2011, 08:26 AM |

QUOTE(Maxieos @ Jun 7 2011, 11:47 PM) very simple. u know old windoze can put 16color, 256 color, high color(16bit), true color(32bit) RGB (red green blue) is main channel for computer monitor. 3 color X 8bit per channel =24bit. since computer do calculation faster on even number (2,4,6,8,10), so unker bill decided to add a null channel become 4 X8bit =32bit reference QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Jun 8 2011, 09:43 AM) Well, if that's the true, then yes, the U2311H is not as good as the 2209WA since the 2209WA has an 8 bit panel while the U2311H has a 6 bit panel. An 8 bit panel can display more colors than a 6 bit panel. That wasn't what I said. The 2209WA is apparently also using an e-IPS panel, but an 8 bit panel. Oh, and please do not simply relate any statements to me without any proof. 2311 is confirmed using 6bit per channel with new frame rate control technology to overcome the weakness of its type its true that 8bit can display more color (color bit??) & natural gradient 2209 is first eips from dell, still pretty good for ultrasharp family hahaha kena quoted |

dont see picture with web browser, save it then use windows picture viewer or other picture tools.
missing color in between colors ="banding" if u notice lcd is flickering (which happen to my dell lappy right now) means FRC kick in y0! otherwise u will see line in between color This post has been edited by ktek: Jun 10 2011, 05:27 PM |

@maxi
1. youtube got alot. go youtube see 2. not water down, it is new generation thing 3. simple, can u differentiate 262k & 16M hanphone screen? 4. just a general name, no need to be specific all the time 5. height adjust & usb hub are essential for office use. ibm, dell & hp business class lcd have them since long time ago. approximately under eye level to above eye level @racerx did u test da rainbow pic in web browser (which have software dithering)?? 6bit screen with frc should flick or else give line line line when u use proper picture viewer |
