E-IPS is high end,eIPS is the low end one found the on U2311H and the like.It doesn't have an ATW Polarizer,it also has a wider aperture for light transmission enabling the use of cheap backlighting.[This makes the LCD cheaper to make and use less power].It's also an 8bit panel, unlike higher end ones which are 10bit.

QUOTE(Racerx @ Jan 29 2011, 05:14 PM) LED is one part of the LCD monitor,it's the backlight.LCD monitors used to use CCFL backlight ,now a lot have moved to LED backlight. This makes the LCD use less power, turn to max brightness instantly, become slimmer.IT DOES NOT necessarily make the image quality better. The Dell U2311H fits your bill except for the HDMI part, if you need to use the HDMI port at the same time with the DVI port then you need to look elsewhere. If your graphic card has Displayport then there would be no problems. This monitor is recommended because it uses a eIPS panel as opposed to TN panel.eIPS panel delivers wider viewing angles and better colours.Couple that with Dell's warranty then you've got one that fits your bill nicely. that one right? > Dell U2311Hthank you for the red part, means i can only choose either one to use lah? but unfortunately my graphic card dont have display port, only got DVI VGA and HDMI and i want to use DVI to connect my desktop and HDMI to connect my laptop

QUOTE(ian84 @ Jan 29 2011, 11:27 AM) i've seen E2020X in store's display.. personally i like the design.. display quality, good as in standard TN panel.. Just curious if you would spend RM 150 - 200, you can get bigger screen (22/23") & resolution (1080p), or no ? Coz my self upgrading from my old 20" to my 23" now.. i wish i saved some more for 23" & not to buy 20" that time.. just my 2 cents tho Hmm.. If I do spend that extra 200 what model would you recco?

There's the Dell U2311H RM599,LG E2350T RM539+,Acer S231HL RM525 Among these three the Dell have the best image quality and the best warranty policy. The LG takes the middle ground while the Acer is last. You can use this test http://www.lagom.nl/lcd-test/Since it depends on your eyes it won't be as accurate as using a colorimeter but it's still better than nothing.

@David You probably can not find it in retail shop. If i am not mistaken Dell has early days (7 or 21 ?) warranty policy that will directly change with new one. But not sure about hom many dead pixels will be needed for that. Just check the website. Btw waiting 7-10 days for cheap and nice LCD doesnt hurt tho lol

IF u want HDMI and DVI together try U2410, or Samsung Model.
1 thing i dont like samsung is because their LCD /LED cant tilt or adjust height...
It is disadvantage for tall people, like me =(
Im using U2410, Photoshop, Gaming mostly,
