QUOTE(freeman85 @ Jan 4 2011, 12:55 PM) actually more like up to you..but for me eyefinity no go with movies..lcd bezel disturb the movies >_< u2711 got better resolution so more workspace and less smaller than 3 lcd combined but the price is so expensive do remember than when going eyefinity u need display port cable also ..which is already expensive..only found at lyp for rm 79 a piece..lyn cheaper but have to post .. Probably getting u2711 then. Cause I like the pixel density it has and i think going eyefinity would be pushing my 5870 a lil far.

I have used a 5870 with my Dell 30" which is a 2560x1600 resolution. On top of that, there are also reviews on the Internet that shows you 50+ FPS with this resolution. I think you should really read up and re-confirm your facts before giving out wrong information to others. At the same time, have you owned a 5870 with a 2560x1440 or 2560x1600 LCD before and what are the games you've played on that setup?

You are just being plain ignorant First of all, you're not an owner of these hardware itself and are just commenting based on your pure theoretical knowledge but that again is flawed. Secondly, how many 5870 reviews have you read? Thirdly, if you compare everything against Crysis, even a GTX 295 is screwed. In my opinion, everything you said cannot be taken into account. You don't learn your mistakes but instead confuse others

Now,have you read my post properly,i said 40+-fps,Crysis isn't even at 40FPS to begin with.

Now,have you read my post properly,i said 40+-fps,Crysis isn't even at 40FPS to begin with. No, I'm not getting personal but if you're not on the right track, what's wrong with you re-evaluating your theories again? It's a good example and based on that review, try clicking GTX 480 and 5870 as a comparison. If going by your theory and that review, even GTX 480 isn't suited for 2560x1440/2560x1600 resolution so does that mean everyone has to buy GTX 480 or 580 SLI to run with a 30" LCD? Look, you should compare common games where people play. Not everyone is into Crysis and Metro 2033. Call of Duty, Starcraft 2, Dirt 2, Far Cry 2, etc is a lot more common than these 2 games and it's very much playable. Secondly, you need to understand how reviews are written and if you notice, your actual hardware always gets a better FPS that what is stated in the review. As to why that is the case, it's your own effort to find out.

Hi All. I was wondering how good is samsung bx2231 LED monitor? Is it worth it?
If not, maybe anyone can recommend a monitor below Rm600? For gaming and movies.

For RM600, go for Dell U2311H Compared to BX2231: Pros: 1. IPS Panel (great image quality and viewing angle) 2. 23" (1.5 inches larger, size does matter ) Cons: 1. 8ms response (not that we can see the difference anyway) 2. CCFL backlight (not that it has any major impact on image quality, and IPS still pwn TN panel any time) 3. No speakers (built-in speakers are crappy anyway) 4. No HDMI (you have DVI-D which does the same thing, unless you want more connectivity for your PS3/XBOX360)

QUOTE(rafieq @ Jan 6 2011, 12:10 PM) where can i get the DP-HDMI cable very cheap? You can use ordinary HDMI cable but just get an DP to HDMI/DVI adapter...... These are passive adapters , which means for the DP port that transmit DVI/HDMI signals as well, not every DP port have this feature, The DP on AMD 5series GC cards certainly does not... COST: Around RM 12 to 15... at least on ebay, local retailers should carry them as well Added on January 7, 2011, 6:28 pmQUOTE(NekoRacing @ Jan 7 2011, 12:29 PM) Same here. Let's say; 50% web surfing 50% movies
Should I get a >30" LCD Monitor by Dell or ViewSonic or Full HD 32" 1080p.
The thing is, sitting right infront of the desktop. I worry the 32" will strain the eyes when web surfing.
