How Improve MW multiplayer skills?

Guys, I've played only single player up till now. However, I'm itching to play COD BO multiplayer. I suck at MW multiplayer. Considering I played for the first time.... 250-130 1v1. So, guys, is it possible to improve my skills and also whether if it is worth it to get COD BO?

I've played 2 rounds of multiplayer deathmatch only. Thats my multiplayer experience. And btw , no dedicated servers?

We need SEA servers is because it should be lower ping than aussie or japan
my advice is to stay at the side of the map, dont run into the middle of a wide open field |

1)Stick with the weapon that is your fav.
2)Dont overspend all your points.Buy what is necessary. 3)Do not use killstreaks which require a lot of kills. 4)Familiarize with the map 5)CAMP whore!!! 6)TUBES and LAUNCHERS! |
