panasonic year 2010 plasma claimed to have 100,000 hour lifespan, so in your case using for 10 Hr/day, plasma panel can last for 27 years, but I think  the electronics will kaput long before that

wow, hook up 50' plasma wit pc...  soo biggg surfing lyn... maybe too big... can't imagine it...

if you use HTPC on Plasma and surfs internet for long time yeah posibble...

if there is no option then your graphic do not support

to prevent plasma permanent image retention, the key point is to avoid feeding static image to plasma for too long, make sure you enable screen saver in your source equipment

hey i wanna ask, if for gaming purpose only (PS3) is good to get plasma?

i notice those 50Hz thingy, when the camera pan, it feel slow. I wonder does any LCD or plasma within the 2k to 3k range comes with Full HD and faster than 50Hz?(100hz)

For games and action packed movies /sports channel Plasma will perform better but it depends on the games

Games with alot of fixed images like side control bar.. etc will caused burn in effect...

Try get a LCD with higher refresh rates... if you decided to hook up games/htpc
