My u80v bought a slightly more than a year ago is now creaking when I rest my right palm on it ( above the card reader slot). It's annoying me since I use this lappy daily. : : . Still thinking of ways to dampen it. The spacebar squeaks each time too..

But I still love the lappy for how it has served me till today. I plug it to the 23" lcd at home.

Huh? the U80V already has a backlit keyboard which has proved to be useful and cool. Just got to remember in the dark, 5th key from the top row + second key from the bottom row aka Fn+F4. Even the touchpad lights up.
