I think the A42Ja has soft speakers and also 1 audio jack (what's it called again) only
But performance-wise, no doubt its the best at that price range

Do correct me if I'm wrong, the A42Ja shares the same chassis as that of other Asus A series laptops... so you can refer to the others e.g. A42Jc etc. for feedbacks as well....

QUOTE(kinwais91 @ Dec 19 2010, 12:13 AM) Unless its really urgent, perhaps its better to wait until Sandy Bridge comes out (next month as well)? Anyway, there are display units in LYP already... Built is very, very solid, except for the keyboard which bends inwards when pressure is applied (especially so for the N53Jq (than the N43Jq) because of the larger sized keyboard.... There's mixed reviews regarding the new styling of the keyboard... some like it, some don't, so it really depends on you And the whole laptop doesn't look as nice as that advertised... the color and materials seemed abit awkward... but that's just me la hehe~ How I wish they are available in black |

QUOTE(0806A68032 @ Jan 15 2011, 09:42 PM) Hey guys, new here. Grats on your purchase!I just own a Asus N53JF, i was wondering what bloated software should i delete? and which Asus Live Update should i normally update? Thanks~! Added on January 15, 2011, 9:45 pm Asus N53: Specifications OS: Win7 Home Premium Screen: 15.6-inch 1366x768 pixels Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-520M (2.45GHz) Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GT425M 1GB VRAM (3D vision ready) Memory: 4GB Ram Storage: 500Gb Connections: N Bluetooth Mic, headphone out, VGA, 3.0 USB, LAN, eSata, Card reader Optical drive: Blu-ray Combo, Blu-ray read only Dimensions/Weight: 391x266x31/2.71kg The specs for N43 about the same, just a 13inch and 15 inch difference. The B&O speakers are wonderful! Disadv: they should have 120hz 3D led screens. instead of normal 60hz besides that, are really good laptop for multimedia. very quite too How's the keyboard how's the keyboard? Will be waiting for your detailed feedbacks hehe This post has been edited by [PF] T.J.: Jan 15 2011, 11:37 PM |

QUOTE(Bakemono @ Feb 8 2011, 11:41 AM) Hi all! First time Asus user here! Grats on purchase! Bought N43JF a few days ago. Have totally no idea what programs to uninstall and stuff, first time using windows 7 as well (big leap from xp to 7, argh!) Anything important i should do? So many Asus stuff in there >< The only things i have done is burning recovery disks and warranty registration. btw, the laptop's gorgeous. :-) It seems the palm rest on the N43Jf looks more or less like those of Asus U bamboo series The ones on the i7-740M N43Jq was brushed aluminium... Both are nice, can't wait to get mine |
