I see very impressive numbers for battery life on the K53E.

I recommend getting a TPU keyboard protector instead of silicone. Even more see thru and nicer to use.

QUOTE(dunkiedonuts @ Apr 9 2011, 11:15 PM) No other reasons le? Ah...if it's really mobo problem, roughly how long will it take them to replace a new one? Well I don't like to speculate but if you replaced your HDD and the problem still occurs, it might be something affecting the laptop itself. But I think if it's a mobo issue, it might take 2 weeks+ to get it replaced. |

You should start getting rid of the bloatwares and update the Nvidia drivers. The driver update might solve your lag in COD.

QUOTE(tslc0250 @ Apr 10 2011, 09:57 PM) i think that is the LED light showing your system switching between nvidia and intel GPU. blue is nvidia while white is intel... Double check with my friend. White is Nvidia while blue is Intel. The older N series like the N82 used to have a sticker that tells you what color is which.Added on April 10, 2011, 10:14 pm QUOTE(dunkiedonuts @ Apr 10 2011, 09:37 PM) @alexlai: are u still using a42jv now?mind posting ur cpuid temperature during idle, normal usage and under heavy load such as gaming?appreciate it much =) Yeah still using it. QUOTE(Najmods @ Apr 11 2011, 12:50 AM) The CPU and GPU is not the main concern, because it can tolerate much higher heat than that, what concerns me that made me sold my A42Je is the harddrive temperature, just look at that, 48-49C is not a good sight at all, mine could reach 52C when gaming. Exactly! I'm not surprised it's that high heat that leads to some of the hard drive problems some owners of the series are having. I wonder how much your HD temp will be if you used an SSD though. To compare, on 4743ZG right now while browsing no air conditioner and balanced profile [attachmentid=2148071] QUOTE(LoonFay @ Apr 11 2011, 11:03 AM) Planning to buy ASUS this upcoming PC Fair, The U45 is an older series, less powerful than the U41 and at a higher price as well. Altec Lansing with SRS sound is merely a gimmick. Mine has it too but they are soft and the sound quality is downright unimpressive. which one is the newer one, U45JC or U41JC from what i see, 1.U45JC :has better sound (Altec Lansing with SRS sound, :RM no idea yet 2.U41JC:Ram can extend up to 8Gig; :Price :RM2999 ASUS gurus, which one better? QUOTE(LoonFay @ Apr 11 2011, 04:37 PM) Just contacted ASUS helpline, stated that U41SV will be available end of this month, April, but not available in PC fair Great to hear! It's a good model. SB proc with an Nvidia GT540M makes a powerful combination. |
