Now i just need to find a way to buff up the electronics. The electronics are ok. just the location of the cylindrical crystal. When the thing arrives if it works, maybe i'm gonna connect it to wires and move it further up on the PCB. |

QUOTE(leroy87 @ Jun 9 2012, 12:28 PM) Nope. The receiver crystal.QUOTE(power911 @ Jun 9 2012, 02:26 PM) whut up with v911 anyway?I got so interested and now everyone is talking bout it being fried or something The crystal is very sensitive. Breaks when you crash the thing. EDIT: i guess i won't be shelving it anytime soon. Who says whenever the seller says "IC board Rosak" its gonna cost Rm50? I've found the cure to the red light of death! Just need a few electrical items, soldering skills, and the part only costs Rm2. This post has been edited by TAGreptiles: Jun 9 2012, 11:03 PM |

QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Jun 10 2012, 01:02 AM) Well the vibration kills it too. I've found the source of the vibration. Now i'm getting washers to fix it as well. better get use to it. the further you progress, the more money it'll cost for every crash. Crashing...Hmm...I fly a lot in my room & office, so bump into stuff a lot. crashing a 100 size FP is causes no real dmg compared to crashing a bigger heli. the cost just multiplies if it's a CP. |

QUOTE(zeroglyph @ Jun 10 2012, 01:26 AM) better get use to it. the further you progress, the more money it'll cost for every crash. Well people don't play a 450 size cp in the room or in thin their office no? crashing a 100 size FP is causes no real dmg compared to crashing a bigger heli. the cost just multiplies if it's a CP. No offence but who spends 50 bucks repairing something that cost 100 bucks? Especially when the damaged components only cost a fraction of the price. I fitted a different crystal on the board. One of the better ones and I'm trying to pad it with hot glue. So I'm crashing it intentionally a lot now to test the durability of it. Next step is a motor cooling solution and larger battery capacity. The thing I like with the v911 is that its like a zombie. You crash it a million times, things break and you make improvements to the durability. A lot of fun to me reviving this little bugger. QUOTE(TAGreptiles @ Jun 9 2012, 09:25 PM) Nope. The receiver crystal. It was me who said the IC board wil cost around RM50.. its quoted by my local store.. around RM40-50 include they pasang for u. I changed my tail motor once, they didnt give me Align tail motor, but instead a WL or Wing toys tail motor replacement.. cost RM25. -..-" I think i had that red light of death too.. it kept blinking and like stop recieving signals from time to time... How did u manage to fix that? Thanks! Added on June 10, 2012, 12:29 pm QUOTE(power911 @ Jun 9 2012, 11:24 PM) its really good for beginners, price wise and also the fly-ability.. moves quick and response is good, its durable in a way, but if u land at the wrong spot.. it will cost repairs.. because as u know the tail motor is quite vulnerable to crashes.. and heavy 'shock' during crash might also cause some connection at the PCB become loose.. so its very depending on the flyer and the seriousness of the crash.. otherwise the 911 is really a sweet flying machine indoor! This post has been edited by leroy87: Jun 10 2012, 12:29 PM |

Anyone interested with extra v911 batteries? They're going for Rm32 per pair.
Edit: standard 120mah test water see got demand or not. This post has been edited by TAGreptiles: Jun 11 2012, 03:52 PM |
