mr daddoo
got rebuild the whole heli or not ?? hehehe
do u "feel"  the headspeed higher than your 450PRO or not ?? it should be higher or at least the same
if your max/min pitch is confirmed then u might wanna have a look at your pitch and throttle curves
if those oso confirmed then maybe motor KONG liau .. tough luck if that happens but small motors for the trex 250 is cheap laa .. less than rm50 delivered to your door from HBK

that looks interesting but i have never seen it here
it is very unique ..

Added on July 13, 2011, 10:15 pmQiw, what did you put for timer st1 and st2? U use both? What are they for?

Currently my throttle hold is on the SF, which is my timer stop for st1 too. My start/reset is SH.

Im not sure what st2 are for or do i really need the stop function.

Wow thats even better. Means your timing start only when you have throttle input and when you let down timing stop and resume once again when you input throttle?

Is that possible? Coz i play glider, sometime throttle off and glide then throttle on to climb.

QUOTE(QiW @ Jul 14 2011, 08:01 AM)
u actually need only 1 timer .. the 2nd timer is extra and u dont have to use it if u dont want
eg.
1st timer set 2mins ... this one for rempit style flying
2nd timer set 4mins .. this one for normal relaxed flying
so when i get my plane up and rempit kow kow i know to come down on 1st timer ... if i just fly relaxed style then i know batt can fly for 4 mins so i come come 2nd timer lorr ...

mine is set to follow throttle stick ... once i am over certain position (1 or 2 bar from bottom) the timer starts coz thats the time where u start sucking the batt .. no throttle = almost negligible consumption
same goes for my heli coz u almost never hit full negative pitch to stop the timer and even if u do it is for a very short while only
my 2nd timer is set to my idle up switch so i know the longer i stay in idle up mode the faster i have to come down ....

Other than allowing a beginner to learn on control, what else a glider can play around with actually?

Maintaining 2 heli at the moment and it is quite tough tongue.gif

You are wrong bro, if you allow yourself to step out of the box you will realise that glider is much more complex than that, more complex than heli.

If you know;

Thermal gliding
Slope soaring
HLG's
DLG's
Hotliner (the most rare in malaysia, a good setup cost 5k plus)

This are real gliders bro, its the purest form of flying, you will learn how to observe the wind, temp, thermals, clouds, birds...unlike playing heli, you cant get any of this from pheonix or realflight. Its thermal hunting.

Camber, butterfly, crow, spoilerons, flaperons...all this can only be setup if you have 8 channel and above (thats why i change to futaba t8fg, if im stick
with heli im still with my futaba 6ex)

If you visit soaringcomposites.com many of their gliders cost as much as trex450pro even up to rm3k,why does it get so expensive?

Glider is not about 4ch cloudfly la bro...those are for beginner, yes.

Hehehe smile.gif

If u want to sell the wholr stuff hahaha one day...tell me!

QUOTE(QiW @ Jul 18 2011, 08:26 AM)
yup ... low batt warning
it can be set to whatever value u wish based on your batt capacity

fast plane with fpv ... thats me for sure
but have to learn to walk b4 u run .. so i need to know the limitations of my system then apply it to another plane (future faster plane)
that way the chances of me losing the plane or crashing into someone or something will be much much lower

i am still elated by the 2.3km feeling .. seeing places which i did not know was there .. hehehe
the video quality in my goggles is better than what u see on the youtube ..
i was having intermittent rc link connection loss in my 2.3km run .. will try to reposition my rc antenna on plane and see if it gets better
will oso try and hack into my futaba 2.4 rx to get rssi readings soon ..

Phoenix sim is really good loh, compare to realflight i personally think that the 450pro in the sim is more closer to the real one.
It's easier to adjust the control in the sim somemore, loads faster ....... I love it!!!
