Hi guys, I am interested in getting the new D7000 and have been researching a lot about it... I found out that there are some issues with it. There is the hot pixel problem and also a few AF malfunction problem?

I tried one out today at my local camera shop. The camera does not AF even thou I had already turn on AF on the lens and the body. I even turn on the VR on the lens and still there is no AF confirmation beep from the camera. Why is it that? Does it happen often to those who have D7000?

The beep can be turned off. I find it very annoying so I always have it turned off...

In the MENU... not sure which Sub menu, you will find it somehow.

Thanks for all ya reply. But still doesn't explain the absence of the AF confirmation light (red dot). Anyway, for those who got their D7000 already, did you all notice anything wrong with the camera?

My friend got one and when he tried to take pictures, the pictures come out blur. I have no idea what settings he is using and we are both new to DSLR and he is in Malaysia and I am in Australia. tongue.gif Any help would be much appreciated. blush.gif

Same here!! I am facing this prob since last week too.... pic turns out to be blur!! Very blur esp taking portraits, the face like photoshop with strong gaussian blur!! I sent back to Nikon, they confirmed it has front focus. U can test yourself on the focus chart =)

Focus Chart

If really got focus issue, ask ur fren try to go back to the shot and ask for 1 to 1 exchange, I'm still waiting for stock to arrive the shop I bought, currently out of stock, so can't exchange. This suggestion for 1 to 1 exchange was give by Nikon themselves. =)

Ha.. Thanks for the info.. My friend is coming back to Melb soon.. Hope there are still stock with the shop he bought it from...

EDIT: my friend said that the blur mostly happen when using 50mm f1.8 lens he got and seldom happen on the 18-105mm kit... Does that means his camera is ok and its his skill problem? He also mentioned that when he bump his ISO up to 1600 and apperture up to f2.8 then blur not tat bad.. Is it equipment or skill problem here? (He mostly use AUTO ISO... Still new to DSLR)

It's a bokeh or blurr? I had a friend who bought D90 and tested his camera with my 50 f1.8, "Why got so many blur?"  doh.gif
Maybe you can post some pictures here and these people can help you perhaps. wink.gif

Lolz... Its not bokeh, I have him send me the pictures taken... Its full on all blur.... biggrin.gif I think its skill problem... (Trying hard not to tarnish the image of D7k biggrin.gif biggrin.gif )
