How about his brother Zaquan ? We cannot rely too much on Norsharul Idlan
*
didn't we have a young striker, pretty tall and tough build goes by the name Syakir IINM. i was actually quite impressed by him last time i saw him play

and regarding the Suzuki Cup, are we sending the senior team or the U23 team to the tournament? am a little bit in the dark over our national team policy now

re : Titus. i always thought that the reason he didn't play for our national team was because he is not good enough, no?

if you can't feel proud for the team that giving their all e.g. our depleted team in the Asian Games, then that is your problem. don't go telling people to stop feel that way

i don't usually comment on the national team due to lack of information and playing time coverage for them. however i will say this, i am very proud of the national team performances in the Asian Games even i do not really happy with the tactics deployed(i guess the (un)availability of the players forced Coach Raja hand in playing all those tactics). it really showed that we are in the right track to rebuilt our national football team

now, on to AFF Cup. hopefully we will have more of the regulars for this i.e. Baddrol, Sabree, the N9 twin etc

i shouldn't have said 'your problem'. what i meant was if you can't feel proud for the (depleted) national team that giving their all, then that's your thing. do not go and tell other people they should have not feel proud also

the main problem with majority of the fans (those that i know and see) is that when come to criticizing our national team, they tend to

1. have problem in accepting where our national team are now; ability-wise, ranking-wise comparatively to other big Asian football nations
2. which lead to unrealistic expectation
3. which in turn lead to not acknowledging any kind of improvement that we've made

so as long as we do not accept that we are no longer (long time already la) 1 of the Asian football powerhouse, we will always see the kind of criticism that you were throwing to the national team performances. heck, we are not even the top team in SEA region anymore

that was simply terrible. as if they were all afraid of having the ball and return to the 'asalkan bola tak ada kat kaki aku' habit

and Safiq does not looks like a captain at all to me. all the matches i watched recently; 3 at Asian Games + 1 at Suzuki Cup he does not looks inspiring at all. do we really not have any other better candidates for the captaincy?

yap... unassailable lead..

then i'm going to prepare myself mentally for tomorrow by thinking that Indonesia will not play to their true strength as they do not have the needs to risk their squad with injuries and suspensions, hence Thailand will beat them and end our hope of progressing to the next round in this AFF Cup. i'd like to think it'll hurt less if i'm already have that kind of thinking before it happens

and, it's not like our game against Laos is a straightforward thing also. based on both team performances so far in this competition, tomorrow match looks set to be a very competitive; what's more with all 3 teams still can get the 2nd position if results go their way. but nonetheless, i will be very disappointed if we fail to beat Laos tomorrow

So, do u point that if they beat us just bcoz they got import player???  hmm.gif

or maybe, he just want to raise a very good issue for discussion i.e. regarding the neutralized player. i even believe it warranted a different topic altogether, such an interesting topic that is.

QUOTE(aressandro10 @ Dec 6 2010, 10:57 PM)
i think he just talking generally about player naturalization activity in south east asia...
*
exactly, this topic really is an interesting topic. i never really give it a thought initially, it's always a big NO NO for me for Malaysia to use neutralized player from outside. however, when Nelson Sam Martin was playing for Kedah for 3 seasons IINM i must admit that it did cross my mind on how much better our national team would be if we have Nelson pulling the strings from the midfield. because, we really do not have any creative midfielder then, nor that we have any now from the looks of things

anyway, like i said the issue with neutralized players probably warranted discussion at different topic

I think Indonesian will play fair and not trying to lose from thailand, because the match will be play at gelora bung karno. no scenario I think !
*
i'm sure that Indonesia will not want to lose to Thailand. my point actually was that since they do not have to risk injuries and suspensions to their main players, the team will not play to their true strength. maybe the reserves will get the chances to play tonight for Indonesia. which is what i'll be doing if my team is in the same situation

QUOTE(gry @ Dec 8 2010, 07:52 PM)
This season, Syed Adney is the first goalkeeper but with many costly errors and mistake, Khairul Fahmi given chance and he prove it. This season, he just concede lowest in Super League and only 3 goals in Malaysia with 2 of them via spot kick.

He's lack of height but his positioning really good. I dont think good height can ensure that u are good goalkeeper. Syed Adney good everything but still failed to deliver.
*
yup, Khairul Fahmi looks to be our best bet for the GK position for now. the only mistake he made that i'm aware of was the Laos goal last night, which i thought he could do much better since the header was directed not far to his right. other than that, i think he performed very well when given the chances. saved our ass a few times as well IIRC

i never rate Syed Adney anyway

Second leg malaysia just defend all game lah... biggrin.gif! Damn happy
*
that's the recipe for disaster. furthermore, we are not even that good to defend for 90 minutes and get away with it

go and play our normal game. play pacy winger and attacker, and we'll be fine IMO

Our Centre Defenders coped well without Aidil <3

Malaysia's worst player tonight is Norshahrul IMO, and that speaks a lot, cause Norshahrul still better than 60% of Vietnam players.
*
nope, i thought Amar and Asarudin were our worst player today, as if we do not have better DM and LB

anyway, ada aku kesah offside? tongue.gif dah sampai peringkat ni, dan memandangkan keadaan team kita we will accept all the luck that come our way

dan juga Dato's Hasbullah dan Richard Scully (aku memang tak bole blah dia ni punya ulasan) ada cakap yang Vietnam #6 (IINM) 2x dapat yellow card tapi tak sent off. anybody knows anything about this?

kalau safee tak offside pun, defender vietnam takkan sempat nak intercept bola rebound tu
well, it does not work like that though. it matters not whether the opponent defenders manage to intercept or not, if you are offside then you are offside la

anyway like i said earlier, ada aku kesah gol tu offside tongue.gif

QUOTE(miketee @ Dec 18 2010, 06:01 PM)
So apparently our second goal may not be offside at all - according to the "new" offside rules. The striker may be in an offside position, but the ball wasn't played directly to him.

http://www.zonalmarking.net/2010/12/15/offside-goal/
*
no bro, it's not like that at all. both situation (our 2nd goal and the goals quoted in your referred link) are different.

our 2nd goal was offside because the moment Safiq shoot the ball, Safee is already in an offside position before he (Safee) be the first to follow up the bola muntah. that is offside.

while those goals given in you referred link were more to strikers using the offside rule to their advantage i.e. staying further up the pitch waiting for the ball to be sent to them, in an onside position. because the ball usually played to their other team mate first before that other team mate pass the ball to the strikers, giving the strikers time to play himself onside

i do not have any problem with you having problem with FAM. but almost every single of your post in here contained your snide remarks to FAM i find it very not helping the topic. so if you are not going to say what is your problem with FAM a.k.a. keeping it to yourself, your might as well keep your snide remarks to yourself also. do contribute to the topic in a way that can be useful to the topic
