hi there...i'm an indonesian football fan. asking permission to join this great forum to discuss and talk about the ongoing tournament...the aff suzuki cup. first of all...congratulation to the malaysian team. you played well against the defending champions. i believe your GK is the difference between the vietnam game and the game with indonesia. he's more calm and technically a better player. i was also impressed by your wingers...kuna & amirulhadi. and idlan is always dangerous. but you still have to face vietnam in their own turf...which of course is no picnic. the same goes to our team. we're a bit lucky yesterday against the pinoys. they showed us that they belong in the final 4. they can punish us comes sunday...if we're not careful. I hope Indonesia & Malaysia will meet in the finals. regarding our rivalries..it'll be spectacular. and i'm sure it'll be full house in both stadium...at GBK as well as Bukit Jalil. Cheers

Congrats to the malaysian fans. You played well in the 1st leg, and your defense is flawless in the 2nd leg. I hope we can meet in the finals, but we have to deal with the philippines first. I remember a previous post that mentioned about the best striker in SEA. The name safee, idlan, gonzales, bepe, bachdim, younghusband, duric comes to mind. Unfortunately the best striker in SEA doesn't play in this tournament..and his name is boaz solossa. Boaz is the top scorer of the current ISL by some margin. He's better than gonzales and much much better than bachdim or bepe. The only person who's as good as he is in this region is probably le cong vinh, who is greatly missed by the vietnamese. But boaz has an attitude problem and got himself in a rift with riedl, hence his omission from the squad. With him in our team, this should be an easy tournament for us. Anyway congrats again to u guys..and hopefully we'll meet again comes boxing day

There's no EPL fixture that could prevent me to watch the final on boxing day. Ffs..I would even choose this over a world cup final

i'm indonesian...and i agree. people like garuda hitam should be banned immediately. i'm sure most of the indonesians here want to talk and discuss about the upcoming epic final with respect. and you're right also, most of the people in kaskus are teenagers, so just ignore them. the last time we won something was in 1991 sea games (at that time there were no age restriction in football at sea games). so, it was the senior team that won the gold medal. it hurts us that a small country like singapore won the aff 3 times, and we want to change that. so to all my indonesian friends, please be respectful with your comments. after all this is a malaysian forum, and we're just guest here...

I think arif suyono is more dangerous than okto. Okto has speed..but he lacks football brain. Irfan bachdim was ok in the 1st & 2nd match. But in the 3rd & 4th match he was useless. I think yongki will be given another chance to partner gonzales upfront. Maman abdurahman played very well in the center of the defense..he's been a rock there. But hamka is a bit careless..he should improve his game. M. Nasuha is by far the best LB in this tournanent. He's quick and very skillful. Markus horison worries me the most. His poor judgement almost cost us in several occasions. Luckily the defense was there to bail him out. And we're lucky to have gonzales. Maybe he lacks speed and stamina coz he's 35. But his finishing is top notch..he's clearly the best striker in this tournament. The malaysians are a different team now since they change their GK. And with their growing confidence, I know the indonesians won't take them lightly. I hope we all can see a great finals next week

the ticket price @ GBK stadium on the Dec 29th 2010 AFF cup Final 2nd Leg
VVIP : Rp. 1000.000 or RM 343 West VIP : Rp 500.000 or RM 171 East VIP : Rp. 350.000 or RM 120 Category 1 : Rp. 250.000 or RM 86 Category 2 : Rp. 150.000 or RM 51 Category 3 : Rp. 75.000 or RM 26 Damn PSSI and Nurdin Halid! this is an average of twice the ticket price in the SF. He knows the indonesian people will pay for these prices. The search for those tickets is unbelievable. There are stories of people as far as from Aceh, Kalimantan and Papua willing to do everything to watch the game live at the stadium. Some people sold their goats or chickens, just to be able to buy a ticket, don't care if they're thousands of kilometres away from jakarta. I can assure u guys, the crowd will be epic! the 80.000 capacity stadium will be a full house. expect flares, firecrackers and horns of a biblical proportion. Probably it's best for u guys not to come to the stadium. But if u do, make sure u have a proper security around u. Waving the flag or wearing the yellow jersey will be totally unwise. Enjoy the matches guys |

QUOTE(nenasoren @ Dec 21 2010, 08:41 PM) to indonesians, i am still amazed why do u feel the need to neautralise Gonzales, when u already have the all-malaysians-will-agree-too superb striker Bambang Pamungkas. Seriously dude, it'll b more satisfying. Gonzales has been in indonesia since 2003. he married an indonesian local, thus his children are half indonesians. since 2007 he already applied for the indonesian citizenship. and finally the government granted his wish this year. the guy is 4 times liga indonesia top scorer...so why not? Bepe is the most caped player for the national team and also the all time top scorer with 34 goals. he's a living legend. but he's already 30. his peak season probably when he won the treble with selangor fc. he's still a good player though...but not irreplaceable like before. however the best striker in indonesia right now is not gonzales nor bepe. it's boaz solossa. in 2007 he broke his leg while playing for timnas in a friendly match. he accused PSSI had abandoned him that time, not giving him a proper treatment. since then boaz had an on and off relationship with PSSI. he was still playing with timnas in october when uruguay full team minus diego forlan thrashed indonesia 7-1, scoring the only goal for indonesia. in the current ISL, he tops the goalscoring chart with 10 goals in 8 games and his club persipura sitting comfortably at the top of table. but boaz failed to answer riedl call to join timnas prior to this tournament. riedl waited 5 days for him after the deadline date, before angrily scratch his name off the list. the boaz-gonzales pair upfront would be unbelievable, and i hope i can still see that after this tournament |

My best IX for this tournament :
GK : Etheridge, LB : M. Nasuha, CB : Abdurahman, CB : Borromeo, RB : Del Rosario, RM : M. Ridwan, DM : De Jong, AM : Utina, LM : Kuna, FW : Gonzales, FW : Safee Manager : Rajagobal I don't think vietnam, thailand & singapore players did enough to be in the starting XI, but of course this is only my opinion. What about u guys? Please share your starting XI also. Thx |

the man who said that markus kena serbuk gatal di leg 1 is Nurdin Halid, the chief of PSSI. everyone in indonesia wants him dead...so just ignore him completely. i accept that we were beaten fair & square. probably the reasons are as follows :
1. to many unnecessary events for timnas indonesia prior to the match, isthigosah akbar at pondok pesantren, lunch with politicians, photo sessions with fans etc. 2. unbelievable coverage by the media. in 1 particular tv station, u can see the news of timnas indonesia every 5 minutes. it's like we're going to play in a world cup final. the interviews were endless, and u could see the tiredness in the players face, not to mention the huge burden they have to carry. even the fans were annoyed by this. 3. the 5-1 drubbing in the first match. probably the players thought it was going to be an easy task at bukit jalil. the scoreline was definately not expected. 4. the great support from the malaysian fans. timnas indonesia never played an away game in this tournament before. the atmosphere probably distracted them a bit. 5. malaysia played really well. we were dominated, especially in the 2nd half. although the scoreline was a bit harsh. it's a shame that a malaysian fan used laser in the 1st leg, but that's not an excuse. hopefully there will be no more laser at GBK, and we're going to watch a beautiful football match. as an indonesian fan, i hope we can turn the table at GBK and win the damn thing. but if not, hats off to all malaysians here...u guys deserve it... |
