nothing much really, when the cross comes in the 2 defenders aren't aware of the unmarked strikers, i guess that's the mistake there. if the defenders, especially the one nearer to the crosser can cut back and challenge for the ball, then maybe the goal can be prevented. Still there's some occasions where theres nothing much you can do, as the cross in and the header is perfect, so credit to them.

but im not experienced, especially in defending situation, i usually play up front

that could backfire if the opposition is a good dribbler. going too close then if hes beaten, the space behind him will be wide open. i guess its important to know what kinda player that crosser is, then can decide whether to close down or stand off.

i think Fahmi is also calm and tidak gelabah, so he can easily "control" the situation when under siege. a good keeper also needs to be composed and not get nervous when a difficult situation comes in.

As for the Laos goal, yes very accurate passing and hard heading, so i dont blame goalie to stop that, if Fahmi did that would be very good. The striker took advantage of the area between the 2 CBs. the further CB could have spotted him and try to move in and challenge for the ball and maybe can prevent the goal, but other than that theres nothing much u can do to stop pinpoint crosses like that.

Assuming all seats are RM10, and the stadium is full every match, that would fetch about RM1 million per match. Now, if all this money is used to develop our football, maybe an increase of ticket price would be good? increase ticket price to RM20 would double the income to RM2m! However i think regular folks wouldnt think it is worth paying that much to watch the national team, like as discussed before, with the standard of the football not many people will be willing to splash out a lot (sadly). But without fundings, its hard for improvements too, like training facilities, better equipments etc.

Of course there are a lot of factors to consider such as the spending power of the general community, or whether the money will be put to good use (instead of pockets ). But i'm just thinking, its the loop that is being mentioned before isnt it? people wont support the national team if it doesnt improve, but to improve the team needs support from the people, financially and morally.

Congrats to the players, Rajagopal ought to be extremely proud of his players, who are super disciplined and follow game plan without much problem.

However hope they are not satisfied yet, i think this has been a downfall to many young talents we used to have. got rewards early on, then lose the desire. they should be hungry all the way to win the cup, and hungry for even more success!

When meet in final, started with such attitude, showing the true colours. Such a shame. Sorry, I have nothing against Indonesia members opening a thread here like in the other discussion thread, but in my humble opinion it's just like opening a pandora box. U allow one Indo fan to open a thread, and in all fairness he might be a responsible member. But that just serves as a platform for the others to register and they've got nothing to lose by coming in and cause problems. But dunno maybe it's a local member posing as indo fans to do such act..only mods know.

I pity the mods and admins the most, they are the one who had to do all the cleaning up.
